The 2024 RIMOWA Design Prize’s edition concludes with a ceremony held at the James Simon Gallery in Berlin. Inspired by the iconic RIMOWA Hammered Hand Case first introduced in 1966, the name of the collection originates from the German term 'Hammerschlag' meaning 'hammer hit', as a nod to its distinctive textured aluminium surface. Now, the cherished piece gets a timely comeback as the RIMOWA Hand-Carry Case Hammerschlag, alongside a new complementary addition, the RIMOWA Cabin Hammerschlag.
