What an unforgettable moment. ✨ Last week our CEO Rohit Aggarwal accepted the "SFA Biodiversity and Water Award" at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2024. We were recognized for our glacier project, which converts used geotextiles into high-quality fibers. This award is proof that joint efforts to promote a sustainable future in fashion are paying off. Just recently, our production site in Thailand celebrated its 7th anniversary! 🙌 The site was founded in 2017, has been fully operational since 2022 and produces 100,000 tons of TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers per year. The anniversary was not only celebrated with the employees, the site also hosted its first family day to honor the special occasion. 🎉

Recently, our product brand TENCEL™ partnered once again with VOGUE Germany. At the Vogue talk event Forces of Fashion in Berlin, the new limited-edition VOGUE Collection Sweatshirt made with TENCEL™ fibers was unveiled. An exclusive workshop titled “Behind the Vogue Collection with TENCEL™: From Fiber to Sweater” was also hosted to deepen the understanding of TENCEL™ fibers and to raise awareness of the collaboration with VOGUE Collection among a fashion-savvy audience.   Have a look yourself! 📸

And the Young Scientist Award 2024 goes to... Elli Jaakola, Carolin König and Nurdana Orynbek. 🏆 During this years Dornbirn-GFC, we honoured young researchers with the Lenzing Young Scientist Award for excellent research work in the field of fibers and textiles. For the third time in a row we were looking for young talents to support their research and to contribute in making a difference in the world of sustainable fashion. As a champion of sustainability, Lenzing was proud to participate at the Cascale Annual Meeting in Munich where our VP of Corporate Sustainability, Krishna Manda (he/him), took part in a panel discussion on “Social Justice Through Fair Process.” His insights emphasized the importance of giving manufacturers an equal voice in the value chain, underscoring Lenzing's role in driving industry-wide change towards a more equitable and sustainable future.   Further, we had the privilege of presenting our Glacier Project at the Cascale Annual Meeting too — an event that gathers over 600 key players from across the fashion and textile industry.   #sustainability #cascale
