Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers - BILTIR is excited to partner with Morgan State University to support the participation of two #futurebusinessleaders in its 2024 Summer Academy of Actuarial Mathematical Sciences Program (SAAMS). Zai Daniels a student at The Berkeley Institute (Bermuda) and Deantae Scott a student at CedarBridge Academy were the successful candidates over applicants from both private and public schools in Bermuda. The brainchild of Dr. Candice Marshall, this program is an amazing opportunity for students with a passion for mathematics. This year's #ReFocus2024 was a memorable one! Not only was it bigger than ever, but it was also my first with Somerset Reinsurance. I have been so impressed with the team and their abilities over the last few months since joining, and couldn’t have been happier with our representation at the conference. We kicked off the conference with our hosted Welcome Reception on Sunday, followed by the flurry of back-to-back-to-back meetings, meals, and lovely cocktail events. It was gratifying to engage with a multitude of clients and partners, and to forge so many new connections. We went into ReFocus with what we thought was already peak momentum for the business coming off of a strong 2023, but we’ve somehow come out of it with even more!
