We are excited to share that, with the generous support from the CHUBB Charitable Foundation, Bermuda College has acquired one hybrid training vehicle and an electric training vehicle and enhanced its Motor Vehicle Technology Programme with specialised training. Introducing EV/Hybrid training into the College’s technical education curriculum allows students to gain practical experience with cutting-edge technology, preparing them for success in an ever-changing global job market. Additionally, the Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Training Certification provided by EINTEC at Bermuda College has been a major advancement, benefiting both our faculty and industry professionals from the Department of Works and Engineering, the Bermuda Transport Control Department, and the Bermuda Police Service Garage. This initiative supports our collective move towards a sustainable and technologically advanced future. Thank you, CHUBB Charitable Foundation, for your steadfast support. Together, we are shaping the future of technical education in Bermuda! We’re a little bit biased here, but it is the success stories of Alumni like Terrisa Stewart that drives our commitment to raising the necessary funds to modernise the Bermuda College campus. Help us ensure future generations can access quality education at a state-of-the-art campus right here at home! https://lnkd.in/dBQeYQV #powerfulwomen
In recognition of International Women’s Day, we are celebrating the women who are integral to our operations. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁 Terrisa has been with Liberty for six years and works in the IT Department as a System Application Analyst. She is a member of LWIN (Liberty Women’s Initiative Network), Liberty’s DEI Council and the Tech Social Committee. Terrisa attended Bermuda Institute Primary School before attending Clearwater Middle School then the Berkeley Institute, where she graduated as the Valedictorian. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Bermuda College; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Spelman College; and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Georgia State University. She is also the Executive Secretary of Hamilton Parish Workmen’s Club and the Marketing Committee Chair of the Bermuda Football Association. Outside of work Terrisa likes to build websites, create marketing strategies and content, play The Sims, produce podcasts, read books and go running or work out in the gym. She is a lover of Italian and Indian foods, although these days she makes sure they are more plant-based and dairy-free. One of her fondest memories was travelling with the Bermuda Senior Women’s National Team to the Island Games in Guernsey and across the Caribbean for the Concacaf W’s Road to Gold Cup Qualifying. She said it was an honour to be a part of their story and journey. Terrisa, we are so impressed by your achievements, your community engagement initiatives and your entrepreneurial spirit. We couldn't be more thankful to have you on our team! #CelebratingWomen #InvestInWomen #AccelerateProgress #InspireInclusion #IWD2024 #IWD #EmbraceEquity
