Agent 3 is a serious, tough person (”Been there done that,” “Not bad.”).
Agent 4 is a chill person.
Agent 3 calls Cap’n Cuttlefish “Gramps,” implying him to be a father figure.
Agent 8 looks up to Marina a lot while Marina finds herself responsible for Agent 8.
Agent 8 finds Agent 3 to be really cool while Agent 3 likes Agent 8.
Agent 8 likes cute stuff and cats.
Marina looks up to Pearl.
Either Agent 8 has no strong feelings for Iso Padre or Commander Tartar (which is unlikely) or Nintendo didn’t put it in, which is more likely because they omitted relationships such as Cap’n/ Off the Hook and Cap’n/His Own Granddaughters.
Judd and Li’l wanna vore Sean, Agent 4, and Agent 8.
Judd and Li’l share one brain cell and Li’l hoards it.
Li’l has an inferiority complex towards Judd because he feels like he’s just a lesser clone of him.
It’s interesting that Judd is described as a “Superior Lifeform” when Tartar preached about creating a superior lifeform himself. Both are created by the same scientist.
Annie doesn’t have positive feelings towards Spike, despite what the community has assumed.
Spyke and Murch have a brotherly relationship, probably related.
Nobody knows what Mr. Grizz really is.
Callie pampered the Octarian army.
Callie willingly talked to DJ Octavio, which got her captured.
Callie feels lonely and detached from Marie.
Agent 4 doesn’t watch TV or keep up with pop culture.
Agent 4 thinks Sheldon is boring (hinted in the game with the player’s commentary skip button).
CQ Cumber has absolutely no relations with anyone.
Iso Padre believes in Agent 8 and sees hope in her.
Craymond and Murch have some sort of relationship. Craymond has had a bad experience with Murch.
Flow dotes Murch.
The player is Agent 4 but Agent 4 isn’t necessarily the Grizz employee.
Marie trusts Agent 4.
Cap’n has a mystery relationship towards Commander Tartar that is left blank.
“Peasant.”
Nintendo still isn’t ready to admit Pearl and Marina are girlfriends and instead gives us some vague, positive quotes towards each other.
Splatoon’s lore and story is so rich and their characters are so interesting, lovable, and rife with deep interactions, relationships, and backstories that stretch beyond what we see in game. It would be a total waste if Nintendo didn’t utilize this potential and put it in the game.
I think the only thing we"re ever really told about 4 is that she"s needy and a talker, according to Marie. I guess you can say she"s curious and a danger seeker based off of what Marie says about her? I dunno, I guess the only person who knows her is Marie, and whatever the hell she tells Callie.

Fun fact, this is the first time I’ve ever drawing either of the Squid Sisters.
Agent 3 is an austere, tough-as-nails, no funny business Inkling. After joining the New Squidbeak Splatoon two years ago and defeating the octarians, she’s trained her mind and body to become a formidable warrior. She takes her job very seriously and works hard to maintain her tough-girl persona. When calm, Agent 3 acts cold and aloof.
AGENT 8
Agent 8 is an innocent, naive, and sweet young Octoling. After passing the Kamabo Co. tests, defeating Commander Tartar, and finding freedom on the surface, this recruit has become the new face of Octoling and Inkling relations. Although she always seems curious and excited, Agent 8 is very emotionally sensitive and will often suddenly become quiet and reserved. She’s prone to panic attacks and flashbacks and easily cries.
