Here’s a recap of the day’s events: - Kids’ Contest: Our little environmentalists interviewed their parents, discussing ways to save the planet. Their enthusiasm was contagious! 🌏 - A short presentation about "Benefits of Mangroves on Earth". 🌱 - Quiz Competition: Our brilliant minds battled it out in an eco-quiz. Last week from 02nd to 6th June, our HPC team came together for an inspiring Health and Wellbeing Week where we completed several activities took place: - the employees enjoyed fresh fruits and learned about nutritious choices - we had a wellbeing lecture to discuss stress management - Heat Stress Prevention Session to discuss hydration, clothing and recognizing the signs - We also had a guest doctor sharing valuable insights on maintaining a balanced diet - An amazing Sports event with warm-up and several competitions (plank, abdominal and tug of war). Amazing participation of the team! A healthy team is a happy and productive team! “No Mind at Risk”!! 🌟 Celebrating Safety and Collaboration! 🌟 On April 28th, in honor of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we marked the end of an enriching week that started on April 22nd at Hidd Power Company (HPC). Our focus? Elevating Health and Safety (H&S) practices, with a special emphasis on our valued contractors. 🛡️ Throughout the week, our dedicated team engaged in a series of impactful activities: Presentations: Sharing knowledge and best practices. Site Visits: Understanding safety protocols firsthand. Hazard Hunts: Identifying risks and preventive measures. Safety Moments: Reflecting on safety experiences. Life Saving Rules: Reinforcing critical safety guidelines. Stop Work Authority: Empowering everyone to intervene when needed. HPC, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has contributed during this Holy Month of Ramadan with a great number of packs containing basic food cooking ingredients for the local needy families through BAHRAIN RED CRESCENT SOCIETY (BRCS). The contribution was handed over on 17 March 2024 by HPC EMD Carlos Alcazar, Kartik Mehta and Khalid Iqbal, and was happily received with the appreciation by the BRCS General Secretary Mubarak K. Hidd Power Company, as part of its commitment with H&S, was an active contributor to the Bahrain “5th National Occupational Safety & Health Conference and Exhibition” on 25th and 26th February. The promoted theme was “Future of Occupational Safety & Health, Challenges & Opportunities“ and the event had the presence of H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Labor and the cooperation of Occupational Safety and Health Council of Bahrain. The conference was held in The Gulf International Convention Center in Manama, Bahrain with participation from relevant organizations and companies within Bahrain.

Last 22nd February 2024, in celebration of Bahrain Sports Day, HPC hosted a series of sport activities within the site premises promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for all. HPC Management and staff participated actively in the different activities very nicely arranged by the organization committee to whom we extend a great Thanks!! This was a great opportunity to get together and enjoying doing sports that besides enhancing our physical fitness, mental well-being, and teamwork skills also builds a resilient body, reducing injury risks and enhancing job performance.  We realize how strong team we have within HPC with real athletes in between. It was great fun and there were many prices for the winners. Now we are all set for next year’s Sports day. The challenge is already there……

Last 29th November 2023, HPC hosted our "Family Event". It was a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with our colleagues and their families, and to show them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication. We had a variety of fun activities, such as games, crafts, face painting and a raffle with amazing prizes. During the event we have also awarded the employees working with us for 10 years and the Reward & Recognition winner. We want to thank event committee for their excellent planning and execution. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future. #familyday #teamwork
