Today, we explored best practices and applications of Design Patterns, enhancing our technical skills and community spirit. During our workshop, we tested how applying design patterns can improve our code, boost system efficiency, and enhance performance. This experience highlighted the power of structured thinking and teamwork. Huge thanks to Kalin Dimitrov and Bozhidar Dinev for the organization! In another workshop session, we hit hard on How to motivate our teams on Scrum ceremonies. A lot came out and will soon expand this discussion to a larger group. “Failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes you better is how you react to it.” But what is one way to react better upon failure… read one.   Last week, our team had a less-than-sweet pill to take – learning how to delegate and accept failure. There were hard challenges to verbalize, personal vulnerability to share, and difficult truths to hear. But it was liberating. The courage to be vulnerable changes the way we live, love, and manage as parents and leaders. This way we start to live with our whole heart and to approach life from a position of self-worth. Through a series of theory and practice, we learned that the basis of delegation is learning to trust, and an estimate of qualities. 🤔 So the question is, did we fail or was it just imperfect? 🤔 Did we fail or were we just transferring skills? 🤔 Did we fail or were we just monitoring the progress? There’s a practice available to each of us – the process of getting better. It demands that we approach it with commitment. It's what we do, whether or not we're in the mood, the weather is good, or any other of a thousand excuses. Last Sunday, three teams of four from Sopra Steria Bulgaria ran a 5 km track and scored amazing results. Out of 339 teams, our runners finished in 20th, 53rd, and 170th place. The strength, desire, willpower, and performance displayed were truly impressive! This is a significant achievement for all participants in the Postbank Business Run 2024. Well deserved! More importantly, this event underscored the importance of a strong team culture built on collective support. At the finish line, our team made sure that no one was left behind.
