EuroVelo is the European cycle route network – 17 long-distance cycle routes that cross and connect the continent. It is the largest cycle route network in the world, spanning over 90,000 km when completed.
The development of #EuroVelo leads to safe and continuous cycle routes, serving as the backbone for national and regional cycle networks. It can be used by long-distance cycle tourists, as well as by local people making daily journeys. EuroVelo is developed and coordinated on the transnational level by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) in cooperation with a network of National EuroVelo Coordination Centres (NECCs). It is an initiative that fosters sustainable transport and tourism policies.
