    Technical trainer- AGL expert

Bangalore International Airport Ltd is famous as one of the best all-around India for its dedication to a high level of preventive maintenance on the AGL equipment. I was amazed at how professional work and passion are the two core points to reach such a goal. ADB SAFEGATE has a Service Level Agreement on the ILCMS and ALCMS at BLR airport. A team of 4 engineers Leo Johnson, SriRaju Surla, Pavan Kumar Lakavath and s pavan Kumar are responsible for performing preventive maintenance and spring in action for any possible failure 24h/ 7d. ADB SAFEGATE Training Academy provides training to customers and on an internal level by boosting the knowledge of our engineers located worldwide. A full week of training was given, alternating between the theoretical and practical modules. Thanks to AMA Airfield Lighting for the support during the training. We wish all the best to this new team and keep the level high. #aviation #airport #adbsafegate #adbsg #india #bangaloreairport #bial #maintenance #engineering #training #standby #experience #customerexpectation #lights #agl #runway #taxiway #ilcms #alcms #ccr #top

  • Did you know about the crucial role of the Earth Fault Detection, also called Insulation Resistance Monitoring System (IRMS) module, in ADB SAFEGATE's Constant Current Regulators (CCRs)? ⚡ This innovative feature carefully injects a DC voltage always below the maximum threshold of 500V, between the primary circuit and the earth. This allows for real-time measurement of insulation resistance, facilitating immediate checks without the need to power down or disconnect the circuit. ⌛ It enhances the ability to monitor and detect potential issues early, ensuring the continuous integrity and reliability of airfield operations. However, it's crucial to remember that this module is an additional layer of monitoring that does not substitute for the official, periodic measurements mandated by Federal Aviation Administration, International Civil Aviation Organization, and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards. It complements these comprehensive checks, reinforcing the safety framework within which we operate. ✅ When integrated with systems like the ADB SAFEGATE Cortex ALCMS the Earth Fault Detection module offers continuous monitoring of insulation resistance trends. This proactive approach aids in maintenance planning, swift detection of circuit failures, and understanding seasonal variations, further ensuring the reliability of your airfield lighting. 😊 Thus, while the Earth Fault Detection module is a compact component within ADB SAFEGATE's CCRs, its contribution to maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency is significant. Let's appreciate this intelligent innovation that keeps our airfields safe and efficient. And you know what?  In line with our commitment to progress, ADB SAFEGATE is set to enhance our Earth Fault Detection features soon. More details to come – stay tuned. 🌍✨ #EarthFaultDetection #CCRs #AirfieldLighting #SafetyFirst #ContinuousImprovement #maintenance

  • Troubleshooting an airfield's primary circuit can be complex and time-consuming. ⌛ These series circuits, often extending several kilometers and buried underground, are not easily accessible for extended periods since the corresponding taxiway or runway is out of service during maintenance. Quick and accurate diagnosis of the type and location of a fault can save significant costs by ensuring that the correct spot is excavated and only the necessary cable length is replaced. This is precisely the objective of the ADB SAFEGATE Series Circuit Troubleshooting training led by joel Van Campenhout earlier this month at the POSSEHL Spezialbau Nederland facility. In the three-day course, technicians are taught to measure and analyze insulation resistance, and to pinpoint issues such as grounds, ungrounded shorts, and open field circuits in the circuitry. Acquiring these skills is vital for maintaining all ground lighting equipment on the airfield in optimal condition, thereby minimizing the risk of runway downtime and operational interruptions. Additionally, the training encompasses advanced techniques for fault detection, including time-domain reflectometry for pinpointing cable discontinuities, as well as the use of surge generators and burn units. These methods are instrumental in identifying and resolving complex problems, enabling technicians to carry out swift and durable repairs, which enhance the overall efficiency of airport operations. We were happy to host the first session in May abd are looking forward to schedule many more 🔥 see you in September for the next session! #AGL #safety #HighVoltage #airfield #troubleshooting
