The European Urban Initiative call is finally out! Energy Transition and Technology in Cities are the topics of the third call for Innovative Actions, with a total budget of EUR 90 million. The call is financing projects co-financed with up to EUR 5 million from ERDF testing bold and disruptive solutions with an impact on reshaping the future of the urban context. Local authorities have a great opportunity to team up with innovative stakeholders, but also to transfer the added value of the solutions proposed to other cities in Europe. Open Call for proposals to establish Competence Centers DIGITAL-Chips-2024-SG-CCC-1 with deadline 2 October 2024. With a budget envelop of EUR 116 million of EU contribution, the Call aims at selecting indicatively 30 grants to establish Competence Centres providing services to semiconductor stakeholders, including start-ups and SMEs.   These Competence Centres should have a specialised area of expertise. Each Competence Centre decides on its specialisation in a certain technology, domain, or set of activities, and pushes innovation in that area within the Union.
