At What’s Cooking? we ‘Help People Flourish’! That is why our ESG ambassadors have organized for all employees a full menu of exercises & challenges during our physical wellbeing months. At all our locations there have been great initiatives: online morning gymnastics 🤸♀️, a casual 1-hour lunchbreak walk 🚶♀️, a soccer tournament ⚽, and even participating in a survival race! So far it has been a huge success, and we are not done yet! WORLD SAFETY DAY is promoting all over the Globe 🌍 Safe & Healthy work environments. Day by day, Side by side, each of us can contribute to our What’s Cooking? Safety ambition as we do care our loved ones at home as well as all our colleagues at work! 💚   While World Safety Day officially takes place on April 28th, we extended our daily awareness trainings with a celebration 🎉 across all our sites for an entire week.   At What’s Cooking? we give priority this week to possible issues with 🖐 hands and fingers 🖐. Hands are particularly vulnerable when using certain tools, in specific conditions, and/or when working with hazardous substances. Wearing appropriate safety gloves helps protect hands from injury. Let’s DO and TAKE CARE!   To reinforce our overall SEE – SAY – STOP safety message, we launched our 'KEEP THEM SAFE' campaign with activities including trainings in our safety rooms, a webinar, safety movies, posters, quizzes and much more. #whatscooking #foodindustry #safety #care #people #planet

Today, it's World Water Day! and at What's Cooking? we inaugurate 👑 our new sustainable water recycling plant in Wommelgem.   Since the announcement of our new strategy a year ago 🎂, we aim to reduce our Group water footprint per kg of product sold by 30% by 2030. 🙌 Setting ourselves strict targets, What's Cooking? recently committed to the internationally accepted Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI). 🌍 This innovative water reuse plant in Wommelgem is a concrete example of bringing our strategy alive, and already ensures 50% less wastewater and 50% less groundwater pumping. 💪 This easily amounts to more than 100,000 cubic meters of water per year, one Olympic swimming pool per 10 hours, or the equivalent to the total consumption of some 1,600 households. 💚 Yes we care!
