The second EDITH-CSA Ecosystem Meeting in Amsterdam brought together the outcomes of extensive discussions, public consultations, and expert contributions on the #VirtualHumanTwin Roadmap. The event was also a great chance to dive into many key topics surrounding the #VHT and its stakeholders with various fruitful breakout sessions. VPHi experts Zita Van Horenbeeck, Davide Montesarchio, and Goran Stanic held a session on the pivotal role of #StakeholderEngagement & Communication in the #insilicomedicine field, showcasing the main activities conducted in the In Silico World project and highlighting the key action points we need to take to effectively involve all the actors of the ecosystem. After the Ecosystem meeting, our Director Prof. Liesbet Geris and our science communicator Davide Montesarchio led "The Twin Within: Revolutionizing #Healthcare", an interactive public session on the potential of Virtual Human Twins, explaining what technologies are behind them, which are the benefits of personalized health and care, and what ethical and social issues do they raise. This year, #VPHi is presenting and moderating a talk titled "The Future of Healthcare is Digital" at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Katowice, Poland. This talk provides a glimpse into the future of #healthcare and demonstrates how #insilicomedicine can revolutionise personalised treatments, allowing for cost- and time-efficient healthcare, virtual #clinicaltrials for new drugs and devices, enhanced medical training, surgical intervention planning, and much more.
