We are proud to announce that the next label is also a fact: Van de Velde is also ‘Sportbedrijf 24-25’ This label shows that Van de Velde is committed to its employees with a focus on health, sports and exercise. Thanks to the initiatives of our VdV Connect team, the efforts of the Internal Service and HR and the active participation of our colleagues, we have been able to obtain this label for another 2 years. And we are quite proud of that! In the future, we will of course continue to focus on initiatives related to exercise and sport. In AW24, Andrés Sardá becomes Sarda In 2024, we will reposition the brand Andres Sarda after a thorough and intensive preparation period that started at Van de Velde in 2022.  Since Andres Sarda's creation in 1962, the brand has been visionary and known for its groundbreaking designs. Thanks to a renewed and strengthened strategy, the DNA comes to life even more. The brand is aimed at a target group that is looking for easy-to-wear lingerie that makes a fashion statement. To reinforce the repositioning, we are changing the name Andres Sarda to Sarda.  The B2B pre-sale started in January, with the official B2C launch taking place in the second half of 2024. 🎉 Looking back on a fantastic day at Van de Velde! 🎓 Last week, as per our annual tradition, we welcomed a vibrant group of Fashion Technology students. It was truly heartening to witness their enthusiasm as our colleagues shared insights into their roles within the design department. The day included small company tour of our facilities, ending in an exciting visit to our in-house stitching atelier. A big shoutout to HOGENT and Joris Cools for making this a successful collaboration yet again. 👏 Grateful for the teamwork and looking forward to another successful visit next year!

Last month we set on a - healthy - mission to make a special positive impact: people engage for people. Our employees embarked on a remarkable journey to cover 25 000 kilometres through biking, running and participating in sport events. Van de Velde committed to fund a good cause, in case this goal was achieved. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that our mission is complete! 🚴♂️🏃♀️💪 We will be funding and supporting a multi-year project of Plan International at a school in Gatsibo in Rwanda. In this school, young girls are learning the art of garment construction, they get the chance to sew their own clothes and they even discover how to turn it into a sustainable source of income. We’ve been a structural partner of Plan International for several years now. This organization is dedicated to creating opportunities for girls and young women worldwide. We geared up in bright pink sport T-shirts, proudly showcasing our mission “We ignite the power in women” and embraced various sports activities, from biking and walking to other sports events. It was a session filled with energy, camaraderie, and healthy competition! 💪 📸📹 We're thrilled to share some pictures capturing our team in action – proof that the Van de Velde team knows how to stay active in style! And there's more! 🚴♀️🚶♂️ This month, we're all on a mission to reach 25,000 kilometers, whether it's biking, walking, or participating in other sports events. When we collectively achieve our 25,000 km goal, Van de Velde will contribute a generous donation of 10,000€ to Plan International, a charity close to our hearts that works tirelessly to create a brighter future for young girls in Rwanda.
