Canned tomatoes do not need added preservatives. When tomatoes are canned, they’re sealed in an airtight container and heated to a high temperature. This process kills any bacteria, yeast, or moulds that could cause spoilage, effectively locking in freshness and nutrients. Because of this, canned tomatoes stay delicious and safe to eat without the need for additional preservatives. #steelforpackaging #packaging #steelpackaging #recyclable #sustainable #durable #tomatoes

In a recent article with FMCG CEO, Secretary General Steve Claus highlighted the of continuing to advocate for steel as the ideal material for a circular economy as PPWR moves into its implementation phase. Our focus remains on urging policymakers to embrace higher ambitions for a greener and more circular Europe. We will continue to push for bolder regulation that encourages manufacturers to enhance the recyclability of their products and achieve the Commission’s objective that all packaging on the EU market be reusable or recyclable in an economically viable way by 2030. Who says the steel industry is a man's world?! Our "Women in Steel” Ana Peces Anastasia Kelesiadou and Metka Cavka Luciani visited ArcelorMittal in Florange recently alongside Azem Ozturk and Maria Masson to 🥫 discover the lines to produce chromium-free passivated #CFPA steels for #packaging, 🌍 learn more about process efficiency practices and pioneer breakthrough technologies. Another of the many examples of how the European #steel industry is ✅ investing massively to embrace the path to a climate-neutral future, ✅ committing to reach carbon-neutrality by 2050 with relevant CO2 emissions reduction targets, ✅ collectively undergoing the biggest change since its birth. Thanks to Richard Lézé and Fabrice Pinard for the warm welcome! #ArcelorMittal #WomeninSteel #decarbonisation #whysteelrecyclesforever
