Mémorandum politique (NL/FR ⬇️) bea Cantillon en Marek Hudon, Voorzitters van het Hoog Comité voor een Rechtvaardige Transitie publiceren een interessante bijdrage in het jongste nummer van het Belgisch Tijdschrift voor sociale zekerheid. De klimaat- en milieucrisis is niet langer iets van de verre toekomst. 🌡️In de hete zomer van 2022 observeerde Sciensano een oversterfte van 2.291 mensen in België, het hoogste cijfer van de voorbije 20 jaar. 🌫️In datzelfde jaar stierven er volgens cijfers van het European Environment Agency 5.524 mensen in ons land aan de gevolgen van luchtvervuiling. 🌊De overstromingen in het zuiden van ons land hebben geleid tot de dood van 39 mensen. Meer dan 200 gemeenten werden getroffen, waarvan er 10 gedeeltelijk werden verwoest, 50.000 huizen raakten beschadigd, 11.000 auto’s werden vernietigd en 160.000 ton puin moest worden verwijderd. La crise climatique et environnementale n’est plus un phénomène lointain. 🌡️Pendant l’été chaud de 2022, Sciensano a enregistré une surmortalité de 2.291 personnes en Belgique, le chiffre le plus élevé des 20 dernières années. 🌫️Au cours de la même année, selon les chiffres de l’European Environment Agency, 5.524 personnes sont décédées dans notre pays des suites de la pollution de l’air. 🌊Les inondations dans le sud de notre pays ont provoqué la mort de 39 personnes. Plus de 200 communes ont été touchées, dont 10 partiellement détruites, 50 000 maisons endommagées, 11 000 voitures détruites, 160 000 tonnes de décombres ont dû être dégagées. Together towards the European Health Data Space (EHDS): TEHDAS2 Joint action has been launched! 🚀 TEHDAS2 stands for the second ‘Towards a European Health Data Space’ Joint Action to prepare the secondary use of health data in the #EHDS. As part of the European Health Union, the EU aims to utilize the Joint Action to promote the use of health data for secondary purposes such as research, innovation, and policy. Over 60 organisations from 30 countries will develop guidelines and technical specifications for EU-wide, secure access to and use of health data by December 2026. The Health Interview Survey is an important survey that takes place every 4 to 5 years in Belgium since 1997. The 7th Health Survey has started in January 2023. The fieldwork will run until December 2024. The HIS collects #information on a wide range of health topics: #physical and #mental #health, #lifestyle, use of health care and #preventive #services, perception of the physical and social #environment, etc. The widespread use of the HIS data encourages the development of evidence-based health #policies, which in turn improves the health of the population and reduces health #inequalities.
