🤝 ✨ SCAPR new member : MUSICARTES Last May, SCAPR GA approved MUSICARTES as a SCAPR member. This CMO from Guatemala represents #performers from the #music field. MUSICARTES was not to convince of the importance of international relationships with other CMOs so that performers could be paid wherever the #recordings they participated in are played. MUSICARTES' integration is a great achievement and the result of SCAPR engagement in Latin America. We are now counting 4 members in the region (MUSICARTES and our 3 Brazilian members) and hope to integrate many more in the coming years. Welcome to MUSICARTES, we are looking forward to working together! #PerformersRights #GlobalCMO #IntellectualProperty #ArtistsSupport #InternationalCollaboration #FairCompensation

🗾 ✈ Collaborative Workshop in Seoul 🤝   In SCAPR, we believe that sharing #data is critical to #performers being correctly identified and duly paid.   To reach that goal, we provide operational support to our members to efficiently utilize our databases.   Last week, Julio-Cesar Alvarez was in Seoul to conduct a workshop with two members, our Korean member Federation of Korean Music Performers(한국음악실연자연합회) and our Japanese member CPRA. And the achievements of this intensive session are impressive: CPRA will use VRDB as a key source of data in 2024, while FKMP plans to be fully onboarded by beginning of 2025.   These advancements will enhance payments to #performers worldwide, streamlining data exchanges between all SCAPR members.   We thank our members for their commitment and Julio Cesar for his tireless energy! #PerformersRights #DataManagement #GlobalCollaboration #SCAPR #VRDB #PerformersRoyalties #InternationalWorkshop

🤝 SCAPR new member: BMDAV from Morocco During our May GA in Johannesburg, SCAPR welcomed 3 new Associated Members. Among them, BMDAV, the unique CMO in Morocco, representing all types of rightsholders. Bmdav views its membership to SCAPR as an opportunity to enhance payments of Moroccan and foreign performers by intensifying their international exchanges with other CMOs and through the use of SCAPR databases. By becoming a member of SCAPR, they will gain access to our working groups and other internal resources including our information systems. SCAPR welcomes BMDAV to the Community! We are proud to see our footprint extend further in Africa, ultimately allowing for more and more #performers over the world to get the payment they rightfully deserve. #PerformersRights #GlobalCMO #IntellectualProperty #ArtistsSupport #InternationalCollaboration #FairCompensation

🌍 VRDB Workshop in Paris 🌍 Last week, Julio-Cesar Alvarez, SCAPR IT coordinator, had the pleasure of conducting a VRDB Workshop at the premises of SPEDIDAM in Paris, France. This workshop was a significant step forward in our shared mission to onboard SPEDIDAM onto the VRDB platform. Our primary goal during this workshop was to establish a comprehensive plan that caters specifically to SPEDIDAM's needs and constraints. At SCAPR, we are committed to delivering tailor-made services that address the diverse requirements of our members. A big thank you to the SPEDIDAM team for their active participation and collaborative spirit. Together, we are paving the way for a more efficient and integrated #VRDB, leading to improved remuneration for #performers. #SCAPR #VRDB #SPEDIDAM #Workshop #Paris #TailorMadeServices #Adaptability #Collaboration

🌍 Presenting Our New Board Members: Kyoko Kojima and Pfanani Lishivha At our recent General Assembly, we proudly elected two new Board members: Kyoko Kojima from CPRA (Japan) and Pfanani Lishivha from SAMPRA (South Africa). Kyoko, the General Manager of International at CPRA, has been dedicated to international cooperation since 2010, negotiating agreements and facilitating exchanges with other CMOs. Pfanani, the Managing Director of SAMPRA, oversees all international activities and maintains effective relationships with foreign #CMOs within the SCAPR Community and beyond. Both Kyoko and Pfanani have been instrumental in our cooperation and development working group, providing valuable insights, participating in regional conferences and events, and serving as key points of contact for initiatives and CMOs in their respective regions. With the addition of these two distinguished members, the SCAPR Community underscores its commitment to a global presence. We are proud to represent CMOs worldwide and believe that Kyoko's and Pfanani's involvement will be crucial in expanding our member base in their regions. In a globalized, digitalized world, the use of recordings knows no borders, and we believe that the remuneration of hashtag #performers shouldn't either. #Global #Board #Performers #Community

🤝 Collaborative Workshop in Lisbon: SCAPR and FILAIE Recently, SCAPR, in collaboration with FILAIE (represented by AIE Sociedad de Artistas, @GDA, Acinpro ., and PANAIE), conducted a workshop at GDA's premises in Lisbon. The focus was to test and refine the onboarding methodology for the IPN Creation tool, soon to be available to selected CMOs, including members of FILAIE. This session provided valuable insights for both SCAPR and FILAIE societies, benefiting all FILAIE members interested in adopting the SCAPR IPN Creation tool. The IPN Creation tool enables non-SCAPR CMOs to create IPNs (unique international identifiers) for the performers they represent, enhancing the identification of performers involved in sound recordings and audio-visual works throughout the creation process. Strengthening the identification process via the dissemination and normalization of IPNs will significantly benefit performers worldwide, ensuring fair remuneration. #SCAPR #FILAIE #IPNCreation #PerformersRights #GlobalCollaboration #FairRemuneration

🤝 General Assembly - a great opportunity for Networking This is probably one of the most overused word on LinkedIn, but you cannot talk about the SCAPR General Assembly without mentioning "#Networking". During our last week's General Assembly, our members and guests were able to enjoy some time together, organize side meetings, sign representation agreements, discuss ongoing issues or just get to learn to know each other better. These moments are precious to build strong relationships and allow for proficient and trustworthy exchanges, to the benefit of #performers worldwide. We are glad to have such a lively #community and look forward to the next in-person gathering. #networking #CMOs #global #intellectualpropertyrights
