    The European Outdoor Summit (EOS) Summit in Cambridge brought together #outdoor industry leaders from across Europe. We were there with CEO Dries De Love and Sales Director Joakim Garint, who were particularly impressed by the agenda, which covered crucial topics for the industry's future: Nina Hajikhanian of Patagonia and Dani Jordan of Surfers Against Sewage discussed the power of bold collaboration, which resonated strongly with Radial Europe's commitment to industry partnerships. Tom Reding's presentation on AI, featuring his digital clone, was just enlightening. The panel discussion led by EOCA European Outdoor Conservation Association, featuring Julian Lings, Nick Barber of icebreaker and Simeon Rose of Faith In Nature, provided great insights on incorporating nature into business strategies. Mark Shayler's presentation connected advertising history with current sustainability challenges, stressing out the industry's role in moving hearts and minds towards action. Our team left the summit feeling energized and inspired: the outdoor industry has a huge potential to lead in sustainable practices and to inspire positive change.     First day at the European Outdoor Summit (EOS), with delegates gathered in the historic Debating Chamber at The Cambridge Union, a beautiful venue that hosted Winston Churchill, Theodore Roosevelt and the Dalai Lama. The highlight for Radial Europe was Dries De Love's leading a workshop on #outdoor endurance sports and #logistics in a packed room, with lessons from the trail to the boardroom. As a company serving numerous customers in the outdoor and sports industry with our comprehensive #fulfillment and ecommerce solutions (Joakim Garint for details), we'd like to thank all delegates who attended Dries's presentation.

    Spotlight on Andreas Schulz, Operations Manager at our site in Halle, Germany. Since joining us in December 2022, Andreas has been a driving force in optimizing Halle operations. His background in supply chain management and his expertise in process improvement have been key in improving the site's efficiency and service quality. Andreas brings over 18 years of #logistics experience, including roles in quality management, project leadership, and Six Sigma implementation. His skills in change management and continuous improvement have been crucial in adapting our operations to the evolving market. "I decided to join Radial because I wanted to learn more about e-commerce", he says. "Most of my career was in automotive logistics. I found less complex processes, but still extremely flexible, fast, diverse, very customer-specific. The challenge is to fulfill them every day with consistent quality. This is possible only with a great team that focuses on the customer and sticks to the process. I found this especially true in Halle, but also within the other sites across Europe." "It's a lot of fun working at Radial, but apart from enjoying ourselves, we tend to focus on: safety, quality, lean principles and continous improvement, customer centricity, team building". Working with the site leadership, he's helped enhance several key areas of our Halle facility: - Late cut-off times, crucial for next-day deliveries across Germany and Europe. - Optimization of the semi-automated systems to balance technology with operational flexibility. - Ongoing sustainability initiatives, including efficient packaging and energy-saving measures.   We appreciate Andreas's contributions as part of our strong team at the Halle facility. His efforts, alongside those of all our team members, help Radial deliver exceptional service to our clients.

    Over 58 million tons of food — 131 kg per person — are wasted every year across the EU. Yet, innovative solutions are emerging to tackle this challenge. Radial Europe Groningen successfully onboarded Foodello - Fiksuruoka.fi, a Finnish market leader that rescues surplus products from food producers, importers, wholesalers and retailers. Through its model, Foodello has already saved over 16 million kilograms of food and offers these products to consumers at significant discounts. This partnership marks Radial's first collaboration with an online supermarket for #fulfilment services. The goal: to support Foodello's rapid growth with a tailored logistics solution. "We offer Foodello personalized fulfilment to be able to handle the increase in orders. We will improve their customer experience and support their continued growth.
