Electric Vehicles (#EVs) both pose particular challenges and present promising opportunities for the energy system; they mark a pivotal moment in the evolution of transportation and energy sectors. With the increased adoption of EVs lies the imperative for strategic planning and collaborative action on Vehicle-to-X (#V2X), a crucial technology for smartening the road transport sector. Our second panel, entitled "Market models, rules and standards for flexible charging", will focus on flexible infrastructure development necessary to ensure a smooth integration of emobility into the grid. 🖥️ Where? Milan - EnLit Europe 🗓️ When? 23rd October 2:15pm ⏳ How long? 45min 🔗 Free registration: https://lnkd.in/gpvDMhjs With our moretaror Théo Fievet, Davide De Michino (Enel X) and Gianluca Corbellini (Hive Power) will respectively bring the industrial perspective of legacy group and start-up engaged in the energy transition. On the other side, Fabian Sperka (Transport & Environment (T&E)) and Luka De Bruyckere (ECOS) will share insights from civil society and environemental group on the opportunities of V2X for consumers and the climate, respectively discussing legislative/regulatory framework for Fabian, and standardisation for Luka. Enlit Europe is a constantly growing, inclusive and end-to-end forum that addresses every aspect of the energy agenda including #electromobility.

About us
Who we are The Platform for Electromobility unites 40 organisations from across civil society, industries, cities and across all transport modes. Our members are committed to promote electromobility and strive to collectively develop solutions to electrify European transport, and to promote those solutions to the EU institutions and Member States. Our Vision The vision of the Platform for electromobility is a sustainable, multimodal transport system in which people and goods are predominantly moved across land, inland waterways, sea and air in Europe using, sustainable electricity as efficiently as possible. Our Aims The aim of the Platform is to drive the development, implementation and support for sustainable European Union policies, programmes and initiatives to move people and goods by electromobility. We achieve our objectives by: - Providing a forum in which diverse likeminded organisations effectively collaborate to develop the market for electro-mobility Collectively inputting to EU policy making processes and other relevant forum - Developing practical and policy solutions addressing barriers and developing solutions which accelerate electro-mobility - Actively promoting electro-mobility to key decision makers and influencers in EU institutions and Member States. As the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) increases, it becomes imperative to step up our efforts to achieve their seamless integration – and related charging infrastructure – into the existing power grid. While the development of electric mobility is a significant asset to a clean energy system, it nevertheless raises questions over the management of power grids and connected charging infrastructure. Our first panel, entitled "Support for network operators and grid infrastructures", will focus on hardware infrastructure development necessary to ensure a smooth integration of emobility into the grid. 🖥️ Where? Milan - EnLit Europe 🗓️ When? 23rd October 1:30pm ⏳ How long? 45min 🔗 Free registration: https://lnkd.in/dXwvJNw5 With our moretaror Théo Fievet, Mia Nordström (#Vattenfall) and Dan Catanase (ESB Networks) will respectively bring the perspective of charge point operators (#CPO) and of distribution system operators (#DSO). Other panelists Jan Osenberg (SolarPower Europe) and Fabian Sperka (Transport & Environment (T&E)) will share insights from the renewable energy sector and the environmental advocacy community, focusing on the integration of solar power in e-mobility infrastructure and the role of sustainable transport policies in driving the transition to electric vehicles. Enlit Europe is a constantly growing, inclusive and end-to-end forum that addresses every aspect of the energy agenda including #electromobility.

This week, we launch a series of publications outlining our messages to the trio of Commissioners-designate that will make or break the sustainable transport transition! We start with Apostolos Tzitzikostas, Commissioner-designate for Sustainable Transport, with three clear steps for a sustainable logistic transport system in Europe: 1/ Continue the work initiated by the first von der Leyen Commission. These initiatives are crucial for the deployment and renewal of logistic vehicle fleets, which are a key component of the logistic ecosystem: CO2 standards for trucks and buses, TEN-T, Weights & Dimensions Directive, Combined Transport Directive, etc. 2/ The second pillar of a sustainable logistic ecosystem is its infrastructure. We believe that the legislation agreed upon under the European Green Deal in recent years is highly relevant and can be effective if properly implemented (AFIR, EPBD, REDIII, ERTMS, ...). Underground, the power distribution grid will also need substantive measures to adapt to the decarbonation of logistical transport. 3/ For a fair transition, for boosting demand while making sure big players play the big part: deliver the "clean corporate fleet initiative" as outlined in the Commissioner's mission letter. Congratulations to Apostolos Tzitzikostas on his designation as the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport. We look forward to collaborating on advancing the #decarbonisation of Europe's logistics network. With a focus on electrifying both on-#road and #offroad transport, we have a unique opportunity to create an efficient, #zeroemission system that benefits both the environment and the economy. Today, we publish recommendations for key policy initiatives such as robust CO2 standards for trucks, incentives for zero-emission vehicles, and investments in rail and power grid infrastructure will be crucial for this transition. https://lnkd.in/ewP_58Z3
