ANSTO (the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization) informed the Nuclear Medicine Europe Emergency Response Team (the #reactors monitoring group of experts from the Security of Supply Working Group) of further delays in the resumption of operations for the #OPAL reactor following the extended maintenance shutdown that began sixteen weeks ago. ANSTO reported encountering several delays during the replacement of its cold neutron source (CNS), and based on the latest data, the OPAL team is now aiming to recommence operations around mid-September. ANSTO is working tirelessly to safely return OPAL to power as soon as possible and will keep all stakeholders informed about the planned long shutdown developments. As always, the Nuclear Medicine Europe Emergency Response Team will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep all stakeholders informed as progress is made. #radioisotopes #nuclearmedicine #monitoring #healthcare

At Nuclear Medicine Europe, the summer months are typically dedicated to major projects in addition to preparing for the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) Congress in Hamburg, and upcoming working group meetings. One of our significant summer initiatives was briefly hinted to a few members we met at the recent Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Congress in Toronto earlier this month. It's an exciting data visualization project that promises to benefit the entire #nuclearmedicine #industry, academics, and healthcare professionals. We're eager to share more details as the project takes shape. We wish everyone a productive, relaxing and sunny summer period! #radioisotopes #isotopes #molecularhealthcare #imaging

We just returned from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Congress in Toronto, where, like every industry partner, we were very busy! During the event, we participated in the CORAR Informal Meeting of Trade Associations and held a highly productive Security of Supply Working Group meeting, which included the newly joined University of Missouri-Columbia Research Reactor. This was followed by an informal gathering where Working Group members and friends enjoyed some time together. The congress also provided an opportunity to see the latest products and developments from Nuclear Medicine Europe Members. We explored the booths of (amongst others) Comecer, Tema Sinergie, ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE, Monrol Nuclear Products Co., RLG - RADIOPHARMA LOGISTICS GROUP, Siemens Healthineers, Curium Pharma, Advanced Accelerator Applications, IBA RadioPharma Solutions, Jubilant Radiopharma, Cardinal Health, Lantheus, but also our friends of Serac Life Sciences, the Oncidium foundation and many more. Nuclear Medicine Europe leveraged its presence at these congresses to facilitate networking among members, discussing upcoming projects and opportunities for each working groups. While we spend many hours in video calls, it was refreshing to meet face-to-face! We look forward to the next congress, European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), already coming up in October. Looking forward to seeing you all again in Hamburg! #nuclearmedicine #radiopharmaceuticals #isotopes #industry

Nuclear Medicine Europe has played a pivotal role in ensuring that nuclear medicine is included in the EU’s Beating Cancer Plan. This achievement is significant as the European Commission has now recognized that prioritizing #nuclearmedicine and the supply of #radioisotopes is essential for guaranteeing equal access to #cancer treatment for all patients across Europe. We had a very busy couple of days, during which we connected with many friends and partners from the #nuclearmedicine #industry. A cosy dinner at the prestigious Solvay Library featured live classical music. The following day, at the General Assembly of Nuclear Medicine Europe, we welcomed new members: ARTBIO, Atonco, Life Molecular Imaging, PANTERA, PMB-ALCEN, Lemer Pax, Serac Life Sciences, and MURR, the research reactor of the University of Michigan, who joins as a reactor operator and associated partner. The Euratom Supply Agency / European Observatory and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) presented their latest achievements, once again highlighting the necessity of our fruitful collaboration and partnership. Each working group chair presented their achievements over the past year and discussed the future of the group's activities. More details will be available soon. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) congress in Toronto very soon! Come visit us at booth NP4.
