As one of the metaCCAZE trailblazer cities, Munich is focusing on promoting bike use for last-mile deliveries and shifting freight transport to electric cargo bikes and compact EVs. In June, a "bicycle-logistics" workshop was hosted with diverse stakeholders, sharing insights from the first bike logistics hub at Viehhof. On 25 June 2024, the metaCCAZE project presented its vision for zero emission mobility to the 2Zero Partnership. Maria Kamargianni, our technical coordinator, shared our progress and future plans. 🌍 metaCCAZE is transforming urban mobility with innovative electric, automated, and connected solutions. We will be testing these in cities like Amsterdam, Munich, Limassol, and Tampere, and soon after in Athens, Krakow, Gozo, Milan, Miskolc, and Poissy, Paris. 🤝 Collaboration is key! Progress under Way in Shared Zero Emission Mobility! 🚗 🌱 The metaCCAZE Status Quo Map is almost ready! This comprehensive map sets the foundation for designing and testing future shared zero emission mobility solutions in our trailblazer cities: Amsterdam, Limassol, Munich, and Tampere. 🔍 What's Inside the Status Quo Map? 1 Capability Map: Evaluates each city's goals, policy targets, past experiences, and available resources. 2 Empathy Map: Gathers insights from citizens and stakeholders to align solutions with community needs. 3 Data Map: Collects and analyses city-specific data to ensure high-quality, compatible data for effective decision-making. 🚴♂️ Highlights from the National Cycling Conference! 🚴♀️ On the 6th of June, The Hague hosted the National Cycling Conference, bringing together experts to advance cycling infrastructure and policy. Our metaCCAZE partners, Paul Timmer from the Townmaking Institute and Geoffrey Holmes from the City of Amsterdam, led a session on "Adaptive Speed Governance for e-Bikes." This innovative pilot project aims to enhance the cycling experience and safety by providing e-cyclists with live and local information about the conditions on the road so that they can cycle safely. .
