📌 Kick-off meeting of the ROSETTA project 🎉 Yesterday, 17 January 2024, the Secretary General of FruitVegetablesEUROPE (EUCOFEL), Queralt Perarnau Bayo, took part in the kick-off meeting of the ROSETTA project, which took place in the city of Thessaloniki in Greece. The Rosetta project, funded under the Horizon EU research & innovation programme, has the motto: "Reducing food waste due to marketing standards through alternative market access". The project aims to reduce and prevent food waste by improving access to foods that do not meet marketing standards but are still safe to eat.🗑🍎🥦 The Rosetta project, which has just begun, will run for three years (01-01-2024 to 31-12-2026). Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL is responsible for coordinating the project. 🤝 Rosetta is made up of a consortium of 17 partners from 8 different European countries: Greece, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Slovakia, Austria, Poland and Spain. Last week the FruitVegetablesEUROPE team travelled to Istanbul in Turkey to attend the last General Assembly of the three-year AgroBridges Project 2021-2023. The General Assembly took place on 15 December and the agenda included discussing all the work packages that make up the project and preparing for the final stretch of the project, which ends at the end of this month. On 16 December, the AgroBRIDGES Final Conference on Short Food Supply Chains for a Sustainable European Food System took place at the İstanbul Nişantaşı Üniversitesi, organised by project partner Sabri Ulker Food Research Foundation. We would like to thank the entire AgroBridges consortium for their knowledge sharing and support, which has been fundamental to the project's success.
