#EUDR: the timing is critical, as 30 December 2024, date of entry into application of the Regulation, is only 6 months away. Further delay in clarifying remaining uncertainties will not allow for timely preparation of all supply chain players, leading to major restrictions on the availability of EUDR compliant resources. 🌴 The long awaited and prepared Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue (#SPOD) Europe 2024 took place yesterday under the theme "Inclusive Pathways for Climate-smart Solutions". APAG - Oleochemicals Europe FEDIOL IDH and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) brought together a whole range of stakeholders and representatives from European Commission and third countries institutions to discuss voluntary and mandatory initiatives to combat climate change and enhance the #palmoil sector’s overall impact. 💡 The dialogue emphasised inclusivity, underscoring the importance of innovative voluntary measures, such as public-private initiatives, certification and sourcing policies, and legislation to effectively contribute to halting deforestation, reducing emissions and more measurable sustainability impacts. 🎙 The quality of the discussions and interventions during the day ensured the success of the event. Today FEDIOL, alongside the CEPA coalition, had the privilege of participating in a constructive business roundtable focused on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (#CEPA).   Did you know ? According to the Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) of the EU-Indonesia FTA, projections indicate a staggering EUR 5.2 billion boost to Indonesia's GDP and EUR 3.1 billion to the EU's by 2032.
