🔦 At EUTurbines - European Association of Gas and Steam Turbine Manufacturers, versatile technologies based on low carbon and #renewable sources are well-established practises. Their goal, in line with ENZA’s mission, is to take a systemic approach that optimises the #energy system as a whole. ⚙ “ENZA is the platform to promote an integrated approach, by bringing together the entire value chain and various energy vectors”, explains Diana Santiago, stressing the essential role the European Net Zero Alliance has in fostering the cooperation of various technologies and solutions. ➡ Watch our last video to learn more on the most pressing priorities at the EU level, including setting #climatetargets and ensuring a secure energy supply. 👉 Visit #ENZA's website to learn more about the Alliance and its members: www.netzeroalliance.eu Bioenergy Europe | Euroheat & Power | CEDEC- European Federation of Local & Regional Energy Companies | GIE | European Biogas Association | COGEN Europe | ePURE: European renewable ethanol association | Eurogas | Cerame-Unie | EUTurbines - European Association of Gas and Steam Turbine Manufacturers | GEODE - The voice of local energy distributors across Europe | EUGINE – The European Engine Power Plants Association | Hydrogen Europe | CEWEP | European Builders Confederation EBC | ESWET - European Suppliers of Waste-to-Energy Technology | ETN Global | Fertilizers Europe | Solar Heat Europe (ESTIF) | EHI - Association of the European Heating Industry | Cepi | CEFS (EU SUGAR) | EWABA | SMEunited | Energy Traders Europe

This week was the turn for the Council to say yes to the net zero industry act #NZIA. ✅ As before, we're delighted to see a competitive hydrogen economy taking shape, with all hydrogen technologies included. This comprehensive approach is essential for achieving Europe’s decarbonisation targets. 🌿 🎯 🔎 Yet again, we cannot keep from reminding the fact that turbines and compressors as key components in technologies like energy storage, CCUS, geothermal, and solar power are essential for implementing sustainable energy solutions and transitioning to a net-zero carbon future. Without their due proper recognition and support, Europe's efforts to decarbonise its industry may not achieve their full potential. 👉 Here for the Council's press release: https://bit.ly/3VfYJaZ

As advocates for a robust European industry, we're glad to witness the European Parliament endorsing the Net-Zero Industry Act #NZIA. ➡ https://lnkd.in/evikcvfn Kudos for championing a competitive hydrogen economy and ensuring no hydrogen tech is left behind! 🤗 And, since it’s Thursday, let's throw it back a bit to remind about the critical role of turbines and compressors in technologies like energy storage, CCUS, geothermal, and concentrated solar power. #NetZero #Sustainability #EURegulation #ClimateAction #FairCompetition 👇 👇 👇
The final compromise text on the Net-Zero Industry Act is a step in the right direction. 👍 We are relieved to see that the scope of the regulation is not anymore cherry-picking certain technologies as the sole solution for achieving Europe’s decarbonisation targets. Including all hydrogen technologies instead of limiting it to 2 products allows for ramping up a competitive hydrogen economy. 🤔 We are still concerned that the importance of turbines and compressors as key components in technologies like energy storage, CCUS, geothermal and concentrated solar power will not be adequately recognised. The European turbine industry supports the NZIA efforts for a strong European industry – but let us keep in mind: the target must be fair competition on open global markets! 🎯 Read it here ➡ https://bit.ly/3OTC5kX #NetZero #Sustainability #NZIA #cleantech

Our votes for today's #ElectricityMarketDesign Directive and #GasPackage plenary adoptions: ⚡️ Electricity Market Design ✅ Flexibility takes centre stage 🆗 A more technology-neutral approach to flexibilty ✅ It recognises the need for capacity mechanisms ❌ It still considers capacity and flexibility as 2 different things 💨 Gas Package ✅Much-needed boost to the market for renewable and low-carbon gases ❌Specific targets for renewable and low-carbon gases are absent ✅The acknowledgment of molecules' role in long-term electricity system flexibility is a step in the right direction ✅Big day for long-term flexibility, highlighting the interdependence between electricity and gas networks There's more work ahead, and we're ready to roll up our sleeves and dive deeper into this conversation! 📆 Today in Amsterdam at the Future of Utilities #EnergyTransition24 summit, our Sec. Gen. shed light on the role of hydrogen-ready power plants in achieving the EU's 2040 climate targets. Once again, he highlighted the imperative of reliability and affordability alongside renewable energy, while spotlighting hydrogen power plants as a reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective solution. 🗨 While the message may not be new, its repetition is crucial to ensure it resonates with all stakeholders involved in building a clean and resilient electricity system in Europe. Let’s make this our primary objective! 🎯 #H2Ready #Hydrogen #Electricity
Are hydrogen power plants the future? What will it take for hydrogen to aid in meeting 2040 climate targets? A great session is taking place with Ralf Wezel, Secretary General, EUTurbines - European Association of Gas and Steam Turbine Manufacturers. Let us know what you think about the future of hydrogen. #EnergyTransition24 #energy #utilities #greenenergy #hydrogen
