📢🔥 Look back to the Gender Diversity in Angel Investments Workshop 🔥 📆 On Thursday, 11th July, we had the pleasure of hosting a workshop on Gender Diversity in Angel Investments. The workshop featured a thought-provoking presentation by Henry Whorwood from Beauhurst, who shed light on the glaring disparity in the number of female angel investors compared to their male counterparts in the UK. 📊 The data presented by Henry was eye-opening. Out of the 36,800 identified angels, only 5,000 were women. Even more striking was the fact that the proportion of prolific female angels was even smaller. This highlights the urgent need to address the gender gap in angel investing and create an inclusive environment. 💡 Henry emphasized the importance of comprehensive data to inform policies aimed at increasing women's participation in angel investing. Without accurate and gender-specific data, it becomes challenging to develop effective policy measures that can empower and encourage more women to venture into angel investing. 🔑 In conclusion, the workshop emphasized the importance of detailed, gender-specific data for guiding policy measures and support activities to increase women's participation in angel investing.
