Worth reminding all of us, Europeans, that #China and #Russia were not affected. These are the real consequences of our technology dependence. At the same time, we are told that Meta and other US companies are not rolling out in Europe their most advanced #AI technologies because of our obsession with privacy and regulations, like the DMA. We are told that we should worry about it, ‘cause we are missing out on innovation and economic opportunities. Sorry, what? These are only justifications to make us, Europeans, even more dependant on foreign technology. Look at China, Russia, but also #India and #Korea: they are all developing their own technologies and are not missing out on anything. On the contrary, the choice to minimise their dependance is making their economies stronger and more innovative.
