Enabel, in partnership with ICLEI Africa, will co-host a side event on "Community-led and Climate-Responsive Urban Development: The Case of Rwanda, Mozambique, and South Africa." Véritable merveille naturelle du monde, sa biodiversité exceptionnelle est gravement menacée par l’activité humaine – environ 200.000 tonnes de poisson y sont pêchées chaque année – mais pas seulement : la pression démographique, le changement climatique, l’urbanisation et la pollution sont autant de facteurs qui mettent en péril l’équilibre du prestigieux lac Tanganyika.  Financé par l'Union européenne, le projet Latawama vise à assurer un avenir durable à la région et à ses habitant·es.  🔎 Plus d’infos dans notre rapport annuel: t.ly/kjQdA EN - Lake Tanganyika borders Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Zambia. This 10-million-year-old lake is a true natural wonder.
