This July at Tomorrowland 2024, we were excited to test our reusable cups with RFID technology at the Versuz Comfort Deck. Tomorrowland is taking a step forward as the first festival to test our smart reusable cups with RFID technology. While reusable cups are becoming the norm, our innovative approach ensures that ordering and returning them has never been easier. Why did you decide to go for it? 🌟 In the end, I was very flattered to receive a job offer from the Travel team. It felt like recognition of the growth and contributions I made while working with the Foodservice team. After four years, I was ready for a new challenge, and this opportunity seemed like the perfect way to continue my professional journey while still being a part of deSter.   ❓ What are you most excited about in your new position? 🌟 As a product developer on the Travel team, I'm looking forward to learning about current challenges and seeing where I can make the biggest impact. I'm especially eager to explore how we can create new connections between Travel and Foodservice. Air travel has always been a huge part of my life—my family is spread out all over the world, so I've spent a lot of time on planes since I was a kid. And honestly, the part that always excited me, and still does, is that moment when the food arrives. There's just something about it—whether it’s the anticipation or the comfort it brings—it’s a small but meaningful experience in the journey, and I’d love to find ways to make that moment even better for travelers and for the crew.   ❓ What are you most thankful for in your previous years/position? 🌟 I'm most grateful for my incredible colleagues, whose support, inspiration, and diverse perspectives helped me grow professionally and personally. On August 20th, we welcomed DQS to deSter Hoogstraten, where they presented us with the official certification statement verifying our greenhouse gas emission calculations for 2023. This verification confirms that deSter’s emissions are in full alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the leading international standard for GHG accounting. We were thrilled to host Discover Airlines at our deSter warehouse in Groß-Gerau, Germany, at the end of July. This exclusive visit gave one of our valued customers an inside look at our operations and extensive inventory, which includes over 20,000 pallets of airline equipment. A highlight of the day was the delivery of our newly developed kids’ toys, a testament to our design & innovation capabilities. A big thank you to our dedicated warehouse team for making this visit a success and to Discover Airlines for their continued trust and partnership.
