👏 Paris has done many things to ensure a 100% bikeable Olympics and avoid potential congestion in the public transport network. This includes adding kilometers of new routes to an already growing network and creating 20,000 new permanent and temporary cycle spaces. To support this new infrastructure and accommodate millions of visitors, bike-sharing services play a crucial role. And we're happy to see that's where a few of our members got into action. Our member Dott announced the addition of 5,000 bicycles to their fleet for the occasion, forming their largest fleet ever deployed with 15,000 bicycles, additional staff, and a new service area. Vélib' Métropole, the Paris cycle hire scheme operated by Smovengo, which collaborates with our members Fifteen - Augmented Bike Networks, INURBA Mobility (Moventia), and Qucit, is also increasing their fleet by 3,000 bikes. We are delighted to see our members working together with other companies to enhance the bike-sharing service in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. 👉 Read more about all the cycling actions for the Olympics here: https://lnkd.in/gY8RWmag 👉 Read more about Tier-Dott's largest fleet deployment ever here: https://lnkd.in/g3dah7am #CyclingIndustriesEurope #Cycling #Paris #Paris2024 #Olympics

🚴 Since 2021, the City of Vienna has been expanding its high-quality, comfortable, and safe cycling infrastructure, resulting in a wider and better cycle network. Now, the City of Vienna will again add at least 20 km of new cycle paths. This includes new cycle axes as well as important gaps in the main cycle network. This will not only make the main cycle network in Vienna bigger, but also better. At CIE, we support initiatives like Vienna’s that set defined objectives to grow cycling and promote convenient commuting for users.
