🔐 ECCC Info Day: Empowering Cybersecurity Innovation 🔐 On July 9, 2024, the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) hosted an Info Day in Brussels to highlight open calls under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP). 🚨 The NIS2 law is coming to Belgium soon! 🚨 Transposing EU Directive 2022/2555, the new law requires concerned entities to notify significant incidents to the national CSIRT (the CCB). 🔍 Key Notification Timeframes: ▪️ Early Warning: within 24 hours ▪️ Incident Notification: within 72 hours ▪️ Final Report: 1 month after the incident notification ▪️ Additional intermediate and progress reports may be requested. ⚠️Serious IT problems at Belgian companies implementing #CrowdStrike update Following problems with an update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, businesses and organisations worldwide are experiencing IT problems. When installing the update, affected organisations get a so-called ‘blue screen’ and systems crash. CrowdStrike provides a solution and it appears to be working. We advise affected organisations to follow the procedure suggested by CrowdStrike. There are also many users of this product in Belgium. Currently, SNCB, Brussels and Charleroi Airport , Bpost and several government departments are affected. This is not a cyberattack, but a technical problem caused by a cyber security solution provider. The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium is closely monitoring the situation and informing affected companies. IT managers of affected organisations, who have questions, can contact [email protected].
