Calling on the Members of the European Parliament to stay on track! 🛤 🏃♂️ Together with ChargeUp Europe, Eurelectric, Eurocities, EuropeOn - The European Electrical Contractors Association, International Copper Association Europe, POLIS Network, smartEn Smart Energy Europe and Transport & Environment (T&E), we have sent a letter urging for the previously decided-on CO2 standards for cars and vans, as well as the 100% zero-emission target to be kept. 🌿 💯 Our call to action includes: ⭕ Implementing legislation and removing administrative blockages ⭕ Supporting Infrastructure Development ⭕ Accelerating investment in the whole value chain ⭕ Incentivizing Adoption ⭕ Upskilling and reskilling workforces Let’s not undo the great strives we have made towards decarbonised road transport, instead, we support to stay the course, making Europe a global leader in e-mobility! 🚗 👍 🇪🇺 Read more here in our letter below: https://lnkd.in/esxchx_f

This week, our President Maciej Mazur moderated a panel during the 45th IAEE International Conference in Istanbul 🇹🇷 Entitled "Energy Sustainability, Security, Efficiency, and Accessibility in a Time of Transition", this panel focused on the future of the transportation sector, featuring speakers Yannick Perez (CentraleSupélec, University Paris-Saclay), Esma Dilek (Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and President of Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, Türkiye), and Selçuk Borovalı (DB Tarımsal Enerji, Türkiye). 🗣 Providing valuable insights into the transformative trends and innovations shaping the industry, the critical role of #EV data in developing new business models was highlighted, emphasising the potential character of #V2G technology. Further, advancements in intelligent transport systems (ITS) were underscored. 🚘 Thank you to the Turkish Association for Energy Economics / Enerji Ekonomisi Derneği for this interesting event! 👏

📣 AVERE's latest position paper, "Harnessing the Potential of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G): Recommendations for a Robust Legislative Framework for V2G Integration," is out now! Europe's energy landscape is evolving rapidly, and #V2G technology is poised to play a transformative role. By allowing electric vehicles to not only draw power but also inject surplus energy back into the grid, V2G can significantly enhance energy flexibility and security. ⚡ Our position paper outlines the following recommendations to enable V2G technology: 🔵 Prevent double taxation on bidirectional charging. 🔵 Promote data interoperability through unified standards. 🔵 Provide financial incentives to encourage V2G adoption. 🔵 Ensure swift rollout of smart electricity meters across the EU. 🔵 Ensure robust implementation of cybersecurity regulatory framework. One word to aptly describe Power2Drive : energetic! ⚡ At the Power2Drive conference, our Policy Manager, Raphaël Héliot, and Board Member, Baerte De Brey, moderated sessions covering trends of #charging #infrastructure, #grid impact and #V2X. 🔌 AVERE President, Maciej Mazur, spoke on challenges and opportunities in #emobility at a panel discussion 🚘 Meanwhile, our team was excited to showcase our EU-funded projects ZEV-UP Project, SCALE Project and European Alternative Fuels Observatory 📝 🇪🇺 Finally, we were very happy to meet many of our members in person, such as Hubject, DEKRA Digital & Product Solutions, Elinta Charge, Vestel, Alfen, CIRCONTROL, Spirii, Wevo Energy, NIO, smart Europe GmbH, and Wallbox Chargers.
