🎉 We have some exiting news 🎉 Aphea.Bio has submitted the applications for our first biofungicides VALORIA™ and VIRTUOSA™ for regulatory approval to the EPA (US)! This represents a substantial step forward for Aphea.Bio, and consequently, for the progression towards a sustainable agriculture model. To quote our CEO, Isabel Vercauteren: “We are excited to submit our first biofungicides VALORIA™ and VIRTUOSA™, for EPA registration. This demonstrates the versatility and efficacy of our technology platform APEXbio™ in delivering not only biostimulants but also biocontrol solutions. They safeguard the names of agricultural products, preventing copycats and guaranteeing consumers receive the quality they expect. An example is the trademark of the product name of ACTIV by Aphea.Bio®, a biostimulant applied as a seed treatment on wheat that is based on beneficial microorganisms.

🌱 Providing farmers with innovative solutions to help the transition towards a sustainable agriculture is at the core of our company. 🌱 While many regions, such as the US and Brazil, have systems that are adapted to provide such novel biosolutions to their farmers within a reasonable timeframe, there is still some work to do to accelerate this for the EU. As leading member of the Biocontrol Coalition, we fully support the open letter sent to the EU Commission as well as the contribution submitted to the strategic dialogue for the future of agriculture highlighting the importance of biocontrol strategies. To achieve a future-proof, sustainable agriculture, we need to provide farmers with a wide array of tools to choose from.
