This weekend we welcomed our teams from Central & Eastern Europe for our annual CEE TeamEvent, this year in Halkidiki, Greece! Our discussions focused both on our strengths and opportunities to be better, combining themes of ‘head’ & ‘heart’, with a dose of digital and AI thinking. As ever we competed in fun team building activities and danced the night away… Already looking forward to next year! https://lnkd.in/dNJb8a8W    #AmropCEE #culture #executivesearch #teambuilding

In an upcoming study by Amrop’s Global Digital Practice, we will explore differing approaches to leadership, and the ability to derive competitive advantage, with respect to the application of AI. In preparation, we have been speaking with leaders of midsized companies, venture businesses and larger corporations who have all shared their experiences in leveraging AI strategies for their organization and customers. Among our interviewees is Simo Dragicevic, founder of BetBuddy, a pioneer in data analytics and responsible gambling, which was acquired by Playtech Plc in 2017. Dragicevic also sits on the Boards of Canada's Responsible Gambling Council and the GB Gambling Commission, as a member of its Digital Advisory Panel. He talked to Mikael Norr, Managing Partner at Amrop Sweden in Stockholm and a member of Amrop’s Global Digital Practice, about the AI-related competencies required at Board level and how to get there. Follow the link to find out what he said! To find out more, reach out to Mikael Norr or the Digital Practice members in your country!

The Modern Boardroom: New Characters Needed The composition of Boards has been changing over time, although some would say that the rate of change has been too slow - especially as we evolve towards Boards that are generally more representative of their business's customer bases and the broader communities in which they operate. The Cybersecurity sub-practice of Amrop's Global Digital Practice is represented in Australia by Jamal Khan, Managing Partner, and Luke Henningsen, Partner, who delved into the topic of the requirements of the modern Boardroom – and the appearance of "new characters" in response to the rapidly growing cybersecurity risks around the world.  Follow the link to read more and find out about Amrop’s cybersecurity, technology and digital expertise, methods and tools, by contacting Jamal KhanLuke Henningsen or the Amrop Digital Practice members in your country.

Amrop’s Digital Practice members collaborate by advising, recommending candidates and supporting each other in the recruitment process across different geographies. We’ve selected some of the most successful cross-border collaboration cases and asked both the Digital Practice partner/s and the successful candidate to share up their perspectives on what’s behind the success of the process! Rami El Outa recently started a new role as a first defense line CISO at Luminor Group, the leading independent bank in the Baltics, the third-largest provider of financial services in the region, and a Blackstone portfolio company. Rami was recruited for the CISO position by Viesturs Liegis, Partner at Amrop Estonia and Amrop Ukraine, who collaborated with Job Voorhoeve, Partner at Amrop the Netherlands and leader of Amrop’s Global Digital Practice, and they all spoke briefly now, four months later, after Rami had moved to Tallin, Estonia, together with his family. Follow the link to find out more about the recruitment process, the role of a CISO within the banking sector and the unique challenges it presents. Partner at JM Search ♦ I help companies find world-class Cybersecurity & Technology talent

The best partners have shared values and aspirations. That’s one of the reasons why I’m thrilled about JM Search’s ongoing collaboration with our global partner Amrop. JM Search and Amrop share a passion for building team-centric environments. That is not always typical in professional services and partnership-model organizations. In May, a few other JM Search partners and I traveled to Munich for Amrop’s annual conference. Meeting in person was a chance to compare notes and discuss best practices for aligning incentives for collaboration - with our internal teams and each other. Our takeaways will make us stronger organizations and partners. Our working relationship with Amrop is not only enhancing our client work, but it’s also helping us grow into the best company we can be.
