🚀 The demand for #advancedmaterials is growing but the problem of critical raw materials is increasing day after day. This first leads to a rethinking of the way we manufacture high performance products in Europe. Moreover, it explains why the development of new #efficient, #lightweight, and #sustainable advanced materials is at the heart of many projects these days. 📢 On June 6th, the MC4 project partners PROFACTOR, TECHTERA, Noma Resins sp.zo.o., Reparaciones Náuticas Amura , and i-RED Infrarot Systeme GmbH were present at the "Efficient, Lightweight, sustainable advanced materials - Supporting EU industries to meet the Green Deal targets » event at the European commission. This workshop organized by European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) was an opportunity to present the MC4 project to other European consortia working on similar topics. 🌟 European Parliament Plenary: Our Top 3 Policy Asks For The New Term! 🌟 As the European Parliament kicks off its first plenary session, we are excited to present our top three policy priorities for the new term, crucial for Europe's green and digital transitions, economic resilience, and strategic autonomy: 1️⃣ Address Unfair Competition and Economic Distortions: We urge the adoption of policies to combat unfair competition and economic distortions caused by non-market excess capacities, particularly from Chinese State-owned companies, to ensure a level playing field and bolster Europe's strategic autonomy and economic resilience. 2️⃣ Elevate Industry Competitiveness: Prioritize local competitiveness and supply chain resilience by adopting policies that favour local content, support financial aid for manufacturing upgrades and infrastructures for cost-effective industry transformation. 3️⃣ Promote Circularity and Recycling: We advocate for a regulatory framework that supports circular composites, focusing on waste stream identification, collection, sorting, and the deployment of sustainable waste treatment solutions for end-of-life composite materials.
