The Adventures of a Lowly Paperclip by BannanaBoy

This game is for the GMTK game jam.

Jump through a computer desktop!

In this short game, you play as the old Clippy desktop assistant! (you remember 📎, don't you?) After the user installs a software called PluralInput without your knowledge, you must go on a mission and shut it down before the desktop becomes cluttered with mice. Featuring 3 authentic platformable screenshots of Windows Operating Systems both old and new, (I used VirtualBox to launch Windows 2000 and get some footage) this game will, hopefully, bring a little bit of nostalgia along with the fun.

Your game starts at 09:25. This was exactly what we all wanted when Clippy was introduced. It was kind of confusing what to do but the helpful text was easy to find. We loved the desktop levels and both endings. Fantastic creativity! Feel free to use our video to show off your work.

I guess I made it a little confusing for the goal of the different levels. I guess that's OK.

I'm a fan of Clippy, too! :)

I made another thing, "Clippy Desktop," that you can make Clippy be on your desktop. He isn't actually helpful; he's mostly there for entertainment.
