    TEDxUltimo promoted the startup scene in and around Sydney. The 2014 theme was 'The Ultimate Place to Start Something'.

    The partnership manager was responsible for connecting with and establishing relationships with partners and sponsors for the TEDxUltimo conference. Other responsibilities included:

    - recruitment and management of volunteers
    - management of donations
    - coordination of operations during the event

    Wonderful and rewarding. We often sought assistance from Australia for things like school bags, supplies and funding. One of the most rewarding projects was setting up a solar panel system to provide the children with lighting at night time in lieu of the power shortages Juba was facing.

    Using the case study of a lean project I was involved in for the Classic F/A-18 Hornet, the paper looks at the factors that contributed to the slow evacuation of repairable parts. These included; a low prioritization of returning spares, lack of sufficient packing materials, lack of visual aids and most importantly the numerous bottlenecks that existed between agencies. The project developed solutions to consolidate return-responsibilities and create a process flow, improve communication…

The project developed solutions to consolidate return-responsibilities and create a process flow, improve communication between each of section, and introduce a KPI to provide visibility of the average turn-around time for repairable parts. Once these measures were in place the average turn-around-time was reduced from fifteen to four days.

    Developed a streamlined approach to the repair of structural components for the F/A-18 Hornet using Lean tools and methodology and creating a new 'target' system allowing for the more transparent scheduling of component repair.
