I'm a huge fan on project-based learning, inspired by the maker movement, is a transformative approach to AI implementation. By getting employees tackling real-world challenges, individuals can gain practical knowledge, experience the "aha!" moment, and iterate their way to solutions. This hands-on approach fosters critical thinking, builds ownership, and promotes collaboration. I'm building this way every week and it's amazing! The maker movement encourages experimentation, allowing for learning from mistakes and continuous improvement. By embracing iteration and failure as part of the process, individuals can develop a deeper understanding of the technology and its potential. I have been using this philosophy for decades.

In general I think most leaders are in need of more awareness of the broader implications of AI implementation in the workplace on team members mental health, and threat to their ways of working. The pursuit of any AI rollout is an iterative process, and setbacks are inevitable. I think in order to maintain momentum, it is vital to prioritize psychological safety. By acknowledging anxieties, offering support, and encouragement of open communication, we all can create workplaces where individuals can learn from challenges, maintain motivation, and collaboratively navigate towards our business and career goals. A supportive and resilient environment is essential for sustained innovation and successful AI integration..

To enhance the successful integration of AI, it is crucial to foster tech literacy among stakeholders. Top down and bottom up approch. This includes decision-makers, end-users, and the broader community. Providing training and resources can demystify AI, increase trust, and empower individuals to engage with the technology effectively. I'm a believer in learn by doing, by building by tinkering, by failing, by iterating and do that all again. By empowering stakeholders with a fundamental understanding of AI, we can establish clear expectations, facilitate meaningful collaboration, and optimize the impact of the AI solution. Project based learning on small wins AI apps or digital process automation can be a great method of learning for all.

Let's not forget Psychological safety which means team members believe they won't get laughed at or fired when they share their brightest ideas...or their biggest fears about being replaced by sentient bots. With AI all around, this sense of security is vital – after all, no one wants to be the only human left in a room full of chatty bots.
