Members of our Senior Leadership Community recently embarked on an Environment Leadership Walk, visiting our Pakenham depot, home to Zinfra Power Services South and the Longford Compressor Station, which delivers gas to VIC, NSW, ACT, and TAS. These immersive walks are designed to deepen our leader’s understanding of the environmental aspects associated with the work we do by providing a first-hand onsite experience of the challenges our frontline team members face daily. It was a memorable experience for all involved - especially getting up close to the compressors and turbines at the compressor station and facilitated discussions on opportunities for environmental and community improvements as part of our ongoing commitment to minimise our impact on the environment in the areas we operate.

We are excited to announce that after years of planning and dedication, we have ‘joined the flight’ by welcoming four endangered Swift Parrots to our team! Since 2020, our Tasmanian Gas Pipeline project team and client TGP have worked alongside volunteers to protect an endangered parrot population, including the Swift and Orange Bellied parrot. This began during the pipeline's construction, focusing on minimisng habitat disruption. We thank TGP for their generous support in building the parrot haven and the team at Lobster Ponds in Flowerdale for leading this initiative. Building on the success with Swift Parrots, we can focus on introducing Orange Bellied Parrots in the future. At Zinfra, we are committed to exploring new ways in which we can collaborate with and support our communities, as well as protect the environments in which we operate. It’s here! Proudly announcing that our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been formally approved and endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. When we started our journey towards reconciliation through the launch of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan in 2020, it became a key platform for building strong relationships, and gaining a better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, cultures, and histories. Our Innovate RAP builds on this and will see us embed cultural awareness and understanding across our Group, develop more opportunities for Indigenous employment, and engage Traditional Owners on our projects and in communities through our RAP theme and commitment of ‘Connecting to Country – Connecting with Community’. Check it out! You can read our Innovate RAP at our Sustainability Hub here: https://ow.ly/aQ2650Szhrn

Our Indigenous Employee Network is an important forum that supports us in our reconciliation journey and our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. #NAIDOC2024 #KeepTheFireBurning

We’re so proud of the dedicated Zinfra team members who stepped up for their mates by participating in 2 days of training with @MATESinenergy. The ASIST workshop builds awareness to boost suicide safety across our worksites, arming our teams with the tools they need to support their mates Operations Manager Rod Hughan said, “the value of the workshop is how it distinguishes the difference between supporting someone with a problem versus solving their problem.” Thanks to @MATESinenergy, we can keep the health and safety of our people number 1 - both physically and psychologically. https://lnkd.in/ggenz4ms
