This year’s NAIDOC theme, ‘Keep The Fire Burning. Blak, Loud and Proud,’ celebrates the strength and spirit of First Nations people communities and invites us all to stand in solidarity, amplifying Indigenous voices across Australia. The fire symbolises the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations cultures, passed down through generations. It represents connection to the land, each other, and the rich traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Embracing this flame ignites pride and unity. The ‘Blak, Loud and Proud’ theme calls for reclaiming narratives and amplifying First Nations voices. It invites all Australians to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue, a society that fully values First Nations wisdom and contributions. Throughout NAIDOC week, we will be sharing the views and perspectives of Woodside's First Nations employees. #NAIDOC2024 #KeepTheFireBurning #BlakLoudProud #WoodsideCelebrates #IndigenousVoices

Amazing news! 🎉 We've teamed up with Loop Upcycling, Western Australia's first corporate textile upcycling social enterprise. Loop Upcycling aims to reduce textile waste and create job opportunities for those in need. This aligns perfectly with our dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. Together we're developing programs that repurpose redundant uniforms and PPE into new products, contributing to a circular economy that values resource efficiency and community well-being. We were honoured to welcome former Woodside CEO and Managing Director Charles Allen back to Karratha to visit our operations and reflect on how he helped establish the North West Shelf Joint Venture. Charles reminisced with Mike Price, Vice President Pluto Scarborough and recounted some truly memorable stories - from being one of only five people working for Woodside to the challenges of securing the finances required to build one of the largest LNG projects in the world at the time. But his most cherished memories are of the people he worked with, some of whom became lifelong friends. To read more about Woodside's 70-year story visit woodside.com/celebrate70

Woodside’s team in Mexico was proud to volunteer in the south of Tamaulipas alongside Pemex to bring a mobile medical unit and medical services to local communities. With the help of our social investment partner Cáritas de Tampico, we also distributed locally produced soy milk and bread. Investing in and giving back to the communities where our employees live and work is an important part of our social contribution. Learn more about what we’re doing in host communities on our website.

Woodside has a long tradition of leaning in in times of need. This is no different following warnings from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) that supplies may not meet peak winter demand in New South Wales and Victoria. You can read more in an article from Australian Energy Producers here: http://spr.ly/6048gIwHm We are taking steps to support the gas market in eastern Australia through the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture to maximise gas production from our Bass Strait facilities, and offering all available volumes to the east coast market. Every molecule of natural gas that Woodside produces and sells into the east coast of Australia is consumed domestically by industrial and residential users. Celebrating 70 years this year, we have a proud history of reliably supplying gas that powers homes and businesses across Australia. 📷 Exxon Mobil Australia

Our CEO Meg O’Neill had the pleasure of hosting the President of Senegal, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, on an offshore visit to the Léopold Sédar Senghor Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit. The facility, which is named after the first president of Senegal, is moored approximately 100 kilometres offshore Senegal and has a nameplate capacity of 100,000 barrels a day. First oil from the Sangomar Project was achieved earlier this month, marking an historic moment for Senegal. Speaking after the visit, the CEO noted how proud Woodside was of the relationships we have formed with the Government of Senegal, with Groupe PETROSEN and our key international and local contractors to develop this nationally significant resource.
