PROJECTS | 115 Batman St, East Melbourne WMK Melbourne studio has transformed 115 Batman Street for Insignia Financial blending the building's rich history and industrial aesthetic with modern design. The revamp includes the ground floor lobby, meeting rooms, main stairwell, and upper floor lobbies, maintaining the building's mechanical roots and industrial charm. They also designed three spec suites, each with a unique identity. Embracing the building's architectural lines and original features, WMK utilised a palette of timber, concrete greys, black powder coat, and red brick. The design is thoughtfully intertwined with greenery to add a touch of vitality and connection to nature. Highly desirable third space offerings, such as bookable meeting rooms, a communal coffee point, and a lounge, provide a nexus for tenants in the new speculative suites. The design seamlessly fuses timeless engineering elegance with contemporary elements, creating a robust and refined space. PROJECTS | 757 Ann St Located in a prestigious A Grade commercial building in the Fortitude Valley, #WMK has delivered a redesign of the ground floor foyer and end-of-trip facilities at 757 Ann St. The upgrade creates a high-end ambiance that seamlessly ties into the building's popular rooftop restaurant, ‘Maya,’ while accommodating after-hours access and the needs of other valued tenants. Minimalist materials accentuated by natural greenery, with natural Travertine stone, light-colored timbers, and fabrics create a sleek and warm environment. This aesthetic extends into the #EOT facilities also designed by WMK, ensuring a cohesive and inviting experience throughout the building. PROJECTS | 9 Castlereagh St End of Trip    As part of the refurbishment project at 9 Castlereagh, WMK redesigned the End of Trip (EOT) facilities, focusing on retaining and reusing elements where possible and incorporating a design to uplift and re-energise the space. Split over two levels, WMK implemented enhanced wayfinding so that users can easily locate the #EOT. With new amenities the design is visually cohesive with bold materiality and defined wayfinding – the space is not only effective but also is an enjoyable experience for users. PROJECTS | 88 Walker St Spec Suites The rise of spec suites has provided potential tenants with a unique opportunity to find the perfect office space while skipping the risks, costs and downtime associated with completing a fitout – a ‘turn-key’ solution designed for immediate use. At 88 Walker St in North Sydney, WMK has recently completed three spec suites in the LaSalle Investment Management building. Each suite boasts a unique look, designed to leave a lasting impression and showcase the space's potential. WMK Director Kristelle Fiori said ‘At WMK, our extensive national experience in workplace projects allows us to anticipate end users' needs, prioritising functionality and maximising layout efficiency. Tenants can envision their business in the space from day one, while retaining the flexibility to incorporate their own personal touches’. Our designs integrate the latest workplace trends, tech-capable amenities, and acoustic functionality with sophisticated colour palettes and high-end finishes. These spaces are no longer just display suites, they are designed to be future-proof and adaptable. Speed and cost-efficiency are critical to swiftly bring these suites to market in the current competitive commercial office environment. As spec suites increasingly become pivotal in attracting tenants, it's crucial that the design stands out and meets the demands of today's modern businesses. Builder: McCormack
