Enriching community experiences through reimagining the future of leading retail destinations across Australia.

About us

From Chadstone to Joondalup, and Chatswood to Elizabeth, Vicinity’s destinations span the breadth of our great sunburnt country. Our destinations serve as important hubs for our communities, whether it’s in housing essential grocery stores or pharmacies, offering Australia’s largest collection of luxury retail brands, or providing a spot to share a bite with family and friends with places to dine offering cuisine from every corner of the planet. Our destinations are evolving, delivering an unparalleled data-led retail mix to offer new experiences to maintain their market-leading positions. We’re on an exciting journey to shaping meaningful places where communities connect. We manage over 2.5-million square metres of leasable space and with such a large footprint, we know our commitment to sustainability can have a real impact on the everyday lives of our communities. Our sustainability journey is never-ending but to date has seen us focus on social sustainability in the form of a Modern Slavery Statement and responsible procurement policies, and on environmental sustainability with our market-leading $75-million investment in solar energy systems at more than 20 destinations nationally, and waste reduction practices. With so much going on, change is the only constant at Vicinity, and we love it!

Sometimes it's the smaller upgrades that have the biggest impact. That was the case at Cranbourne Park, Vic, as the team recently revealed new amenities, designed to curate an elevated customer experience to meet the needs of its rapidly growing trade area. With a design befitting of an upmarket hotel, the team utilised terrazzo and marbled styling complemented by modular mirrors with illuminated icons and fully integrated soap and hand dryer systems. The work is part of a broader schedule of upgrades across a number of centres designed to enhance customer experience and deliver property excellence. Colour, food, dancing. It can only be Diwali 🎆 This week, our teams have celebrated Diwali – The Festival of Lights. Driven by our Cultural Diversity Employee Advocacy Group, celebrations encouraged teams to come to work in colourful dress and partake in the sharing of recipes and stories. Arguably the highlight of the week at our national office (and virtually for teams at our centre nationwide) was a Bollywood dance lesson, and a morning tea with mouth-watering Indian snacks. A fantastic week of celebrations underlines our commitment to diversity and understanding the story and culture of all of our teams and communities. Happy Diwali! Chadstone – The Fashion Capital welcomes a handful of new and refreshed stores in time for summer 👏 Korean eyewear brand, Gentle Monster, makes its Melbourne debut with its signature Giant Head kinetic installation and an array of trendsetting eyewear. More brands making their debut at Chadstone include, Australian premium designer royalty, Scanlan Theodore, and the new and innovative Nude Lucy and Style Runner, all with their own bespoke fitouts more akin to a premium lounge setting than a traditional retail space. The new additions are complemented by a host of brands growing their space in the centre with brand-new flagships, including Tommy Hilfiger, Calibre, and Seafolly. Working closely with our leasing and delivery teams, each brand has made their space uniquely theirs, all in time for the busiest shopping season of the year. From Bondi to Capri to Chadstone, Venroy opens its first shopping centre space at The Fashion Capital. Synonymous with summer holidays, luxurious fabrics and elevated leisurewear, Bondi-born premium fashion brand, Venroy has become a cult favourite since opening in 2010. Never before seen in a shopping centre environment, Venroy wanted to design a space inspired by the pleasure of being underwater, an ambition Vicinity’s Justine Marziano and Lauren Stewart helped the brand deliver. To read how Justine and Lauren supported Venroy, head to our Newsroom 👇 https://lnkd.in/gvQpEyr3 [Image description: A Venroy pop up kiosk with blue clothing stands under a gridshell roof; Blue pool-style tiling at Venroy Chadstone; Venroy brand on electric blue] #Vicinity #ShoppingCentres #Leasing

Taking home the 2024 Excellence in Marketing Award (properties 12,000-50,000sqm) was QueensPlaza and its ‘QP Soirée’ campaign which invited the centre’s luxury brand customers to a VIP shopping event like no other. Working with luxury retailer, QP Soirée included exclusive offers, extended hours, and bespoke activations making it a night to remember. Just a stone’s throw from QueensPlaza, another award winning campaign was in session at Uptown. Receiving the 2024 Excellence in Marketing Award (properties greater than 50,000sqm) Uptown was recognised for its ‘Goodbye Myer Centre. Hello Uptown.’ campaign, of which judges commented “Uptown effectively captured the essence of Brisbane’s contemporary style.” The awards are a demonstration of our teams living our values of excellence and collaboration, all to the benefit of our retailers and customers.
