Good placemaking builds meaningful connections between people and places - here are some real-world examples from Planwisely that show it in action:
Successful placemaking improves community health by enriching people’s experience of a place, making it feel ‘alive’ in ways that magnetise people and create a sense of attachment to it. How that manifests in the real world, however, can sometimes feel like a vague and abstract urban planning principle. So, here are some clever placemaking examples in action that show this powerful and innately human concept at work: #placemaking #urbanplanning #australia #sustainablecities #streetart

Queensland’s announcement of incoming 50c public transport fares reminded us of a recent modelling exercise where we took this policy one step further and asked: what would happen if PT was free in South East Queensland? Take a look at the results we found after quickly analysing PT demand mode share, road network performance, assessing its potential economic impacts and more: #publictransport #queensland #transportmodelling #freept

Building an equitable future starts with recognising our past. For Australians, National Reconciliation Week is a time to look at our shared history and actively explore what that means for our path to reconciliation. So, let's stay committed and connected as we build communities that value the histories and cultures of our First Nations peoples - now more than ever.
