PROJECT UPDATE | 275 Handford Road, Taigum QLD Site works are well underway at 275 Handford Road! Van der Meer are the Civil, Structural and Hydraulic engineers on this project which is set to be a residential development consisting of 52 townhouses. Last week, installation of the detention tank commenced, and plumbers started construction on both the internal sewer and stormwater pipeworks. Despite the weather conditions of late, the project has remained on time and budget, making it all worth-while when the project is coming along smoothly at the delivery stage. PROJECT UPDATE | Kensington Community Recreation Centre VIC The Kensington Community Recreation Centre in Victoria is coming along nicely! Most of the structure is now complete, and once cladding is finished, a large roof platform will be built, followed by the fit out. The new facility will include various new features such as a 25m pool and water play area, café, community spaces, three multi-sport courts, health and wellness areas and program rooms. PROJECT UPDATE | 305 Harvest Home Road, VIC   Construction is underway at 305 Harvest Home Road for the development of approximately 120 lots spanning stages 1, 2, and 3. Civ2Con, working on behalf of Bathla Group Developments, are actively managing these three stages. Additionally, there are plans for a future development of 40 lots in stage 4, which is currently in the design phase.     Here is the current progress on the site:      Stage 1 – External watermain works are progressing well and all the watermain NDD connections south of stage 1 are close to completion. We were thrilled to recently attend the Topping Out Ceremony for our CFMEU Vic/Tas Training & Wellness Centre in North Melbourne, scheduled for completion late this year. This ambitious project visually celebrates construction technologies while optimising sustainability; its superstructure is expressed in steel in the lower five levels and glulam throughout the top floor ‘timber showcase.’ The building offers designated lounge spaces for women and Indigenous members, a gymnasium and wellness suite that caters both to fitness and rehabilitation, a suite of tailored training spaces, and a full-floor function space with rooftop terrace.   We're pleased to celebrate this milestone with project collaborators CFMEU Vic/Tas, Kapitol Group, and the entire consultant team.
