AI Unplugged! Kate Crawford in conversation with Toby Walsh Ever wondered what happens when AI takes over politics or how it affects our planet? How is AI changing how we see ourselves and our societies? AI isn't just about smart tech—it's also about extracting resources, whether it's minerals from the earth, the work of low-wage information workers, or data from our daily lives. Join us as Kate and Toby delve into the complexities of creating AI, and its implications on democracy and inequality. Don't miss out on understanding the forces shaping our world today. This in-person event will be held on campus at Leighton Hall (John Niland Scientia Building) UNSW, Kensington on 25 July at 6:00 PM and will be supported by UNSW Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW AI Institute and UNSW Engineering Register Now!! https://lnkd.in/g9V3uDZ3 #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureTech #AI #Discussion #UNSW #AtlasofAI #Fakingit #events #centreforideas #unswevents
