The Tour de Brisbane sponsored by Transurban is not just an incredible cycling event - it's also an important way for our riding community to support critical research into organ transplantation through our friends at The Common Good (an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation). By fundraising in the lead-up to this event, you're helping researchers like Dr Kelly Chee, who are trying to give hope to people with life-threatening health conditions such as lung cancer. "My research fellowship aims to improve the detection of lung cancer before it progresses to an incurable stage, meaning that a lung transplant would be someone's only option," Dr Chee said. Dr Chee is just one of many researchers the Foundation can support – but this is only made possible when the community comes together. This year our team are proud to host the Australian Championships for Sprint Duathlon at Tour de Brisbane on Sunday 14 April. The course will see athletes take on a stunning 30km ride followed by a 5km run through Brisbane. We are beyond proud to showcase our beautiful city and host participants from across the nation. The 2032 Olympic Village is set to be an incredible hub on the Northside of the city, hosting more than 10,000 athletes from all over globe 🌏 The village will be constructed on Economic Development Queensland-owned land within the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area.
