I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently joined ThinkZero as a Graduate Sustainability Advisory! I’m incredibly excited to take on this new challenge and contribute to the amazing work the team is doing to build meaningful collaborations on the road to a sustainable and just transition.

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Trainee Graduate Risk Modelling at ThinkZero!

The Department of Resources (Queensland) is on a journey to drive timely and responsible environmental, social and governance (ESG) actions. We know #ESG is not something for the future – it’s here and now, and is playing a growing role in what we do every day. Today, I was proud to host a panel discussion with Amy Rosanowski, Gobind Kalsi and sustainability development expert Dr Cle-Anne Gabriel. We unpacked the key global trends in ESG and what these mean for both the business of government, as well as the industries we govern and the communities they operate within. From carbon market opportunities to ESG reporting, international competitiveness, renewables and the circular economy – one thing is clear, we need to stay relevant, engaged and responsive to this rapidly changing landscape. We’re already delivering great work here at Resources, and I’m excited to harness the future opportunities ESG presents. 

We are excited to welcome ThinkZero as a UNIQ You Ambassador. ThinkZero's mission is to drive, empower and inform the sustainability agenda and form a secure pathway to a sustainable transition. With the values of co-design, integrity and quality at the heart of the business, founded and led by Dr Cle-Anne Gabriel, ThinkZero advises, educates and partners with organisations in Australia and beyond, many of which are in male-dominated industries (WEGA 2003). Just transition is a key pillar of their advisory services, with a passion for engaging and empowering vulnerable and overlooked groups affected by sustainable transition. This focus on connecting with regional and remote communities, women and girls, and supporting vulnerable and overlooked groups, has great synergy with UNIQ You's goals. I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Certified Carbon Literate from ThinkZero!

🌳 Last month, we attended the ThinkZero workshop alongside Greater Whitsunday Communities and Mackay Isaac Tourism. ThinkZero is an Australian-owned profit-for-purpose business, providing advisory and capability services to organisations looking to achieve a just transition to operating sustainably. This all-day workshop included presentations and discussions revolving around: 🌿 Sustainability, sustainable development and ESG 🌿 GHG Accounting, emission scopes and value chains 🌿 Carbon budgets and allocation principles 🌿 External and internal carbon pricing 🌿 Reporting frameworks, guidelines and standards We look forward to adopting what we’ve learnt into our organisation and to continue working towards a net zero future. #thinkzero #reducingcarbonfootprint #collaborativeworkshop
