We are continuing to seek responses from people in South Australia about how SA Health can make mental health helplines more accessible, and encourage people to contact them sooner. We'd love to hear from people from all walks of life and from a range of experiences of mental health, including people who have never felt the need to seek help. Diversity of views will help us really understand what will make this better. Please consider spending 15 minute taking our survey, and share it with your networks. https://lnkd.in/g__whKvD

A local South Australian agency supporting 'for purpose' and public sector organisations to think human.
About us
Think Human's vision is to bridge the divide between what human services aspire to do and how they actually operate. We rarely have a blank canvas when it comes to developing services and systems. Nor do we always have the time or the skill-sets to think differently about what we do everyday in human-facing systems. That’s why we use the word ‘redesign’ to capture the value we offer. The hardest work is not to imagine something new, but to translate what we already do day to day into something that can create breakthrough change for individuals and communities. We start, always, by ‘thinking human’. We offer a range of services to help organisations, government agencies and businesses to deliver better services to their customers and communities, whilst building happier and more connected workplaces. All our services are based on best emerging practice in the fields of human-centred design, change management, behaviour design and community engagement, all tailored to your needs. 'Off-the-shelf' is not our style!

Our survey on behalf of SA Health to explore how to make it easier for people to seek information and connect with mental health services is still open. We want to explore how to make it easy for people to contact a helpline and seek help sooner. Whatever your circumstances, we'd love to hear from you... https://lnkd.in/g__whKvD

We are working with SA Health and LELAN | Lived Experience Leadership & Advocacy Network to understand how to make it easier for people to seek information and connect with mental health support in times of need. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have had some concerns about their own or someone else's mental health but for whatever reason have not contacted anyone for support and advice. You can complete a survey or opt for a 1:1 interview - let us know your preference by clicking the link or scan the QR code in the image. www.bit.ly/SAMHHelp

In 2024 we talked with communities, professionals and Government stakeholders across SA and nationally about the affordability of home insurance, particularly for natural peril-related risk. Great to see that the topic is now back on the table with a new affordability taskforce! https://lnkd.in/gzRmiHkB

We have a couple of Mindset for Life programs running or coming up soon, aimed at people in the late stages of their working life or navigating the early days 'post-work'. Think Human. is running an online program throughout 2024 which people can join at any time, while our partners at City of Onkaparinga will be hosting an in-person program on two Sunday afternoons in June. Find out more at the Mindset for Life events page. https://lnkd.in/g4_rvKbC

We don't often post about the volunteer work that we do at Think Human, but every now and then, some things are worth sharing. One of the reasons Paul Lambert and I love to work together in our own business is that it allows us the freedom and flexibility to prioritise a balanced approach to paid work and not-so-paid work. Sometimes that is pro bono or discounted work for not-for-profits or community groups and sometimes it is pursuing the things that we are passionate about and that feed into the type of world we want to create. So today I had the privilege of going with Paul to drop off his tree babies, nurtured from seed over the last 6 months on behalf of Trees For Life SA, to their new home in Eudunda. What a wonderful way to spend a Friday morning and so special to see where they'll have their forever home (4th pic).

Thanks to the Department for Education, South Australia for inviting us to explore with educators how they can tackle tough topics with students at the Stronger Connections Conference for wellbeing staff in the SA public school system. Great conversations about strong framing of conversations, creating safety, elevating the student voice and addressing power dynamics.
