Celebrating the Future of Leadership A huge congratulations to the recent graduates of our INSPIRE Leadership Program at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre! These remarkable individuals have dedicated themselves to becoming better leaders, building stronger teams, and driving meaningful change within their organisations. Through INSPIRE, they’ve gained invaluable insights and skills, equipping them to confidently lead through change and uncertainty. They are now empowered to coach their teams for peak performance and continuous growth—everything an inspiring leader strives to be. At Lysander, we believe leadership is about more than just influence—it’s about empowering those around you, creating environments of psychological safety, and embracing inclusion. The journey these graduates have embarked on is a testament to their dedication and passion for making a lasting impact. To celebrate their achievements, hear directly from four of the graduates; Scott Reid, Clare Kellett, Jessica Cabral, and Parth Jani, as they share their inspiring journey and what it truly means to be a leader who inspires. As they continue to grow and shape the future, we wish them all the best in their leadership journeys. The future is bright, and it’s leaders like these who will illuminate the path forward. Here’s to the incredible and inspiring leaders they are becoming and to the transformational change they will bring! Find out more about our INSPIRE program here: https://lnkd.in/dJsPzxqf

  • Melbourne is... coffee. But not just any coffee—the kind that fuels creativity, sparks conversations, and keeps this city buzzing. So when it came to bringing that Melbourne magic into MCEC, teaming up with Padre Coffee was a no-brainer. Padre’s been brewing since 2008, starting as a cosy spot in Brunswick East, now a local legend known for ethically sourced, seriously good beans. Today, they’re a staple across Melbourne’s best cafés (including ours). So, what happens when you bring together two iconic Melbourne brands like MCEC and Padre Coffee? You get a blend that’s vibrant, diverse, and oh-so-satisfying. Fancy a taste? Don't forget to try it for yourself the next time you visit us. #MCEC #MadeInMelbourne #PadreCoffee

  • Last Thursday was R U OK? Day, a national day of action where we’re reminded that every day is the day to check in with those we care about and ask ‘are you okay?’ This year, the theme for R U OK? Day is Ask R U OK? Any Day. This theme reminds us that meaningful conversations can happen anytime, not just on the annual day of action. Today, we took a moment to come together over afternoon tea to recognise R U OK? Day. We heard from our Chief Operating Officer Lauren Milsop and our Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Mikayla Bennett who shared the story behind R U OK? Day and why it’s so important. It was a thoughtful reminder of what the day stands for and how we can keep the conversation going. It was a wonderful afternoon catching up as a whole business to connect and have meaningful conversations! 💛

  • Last Friday, our Chief Executive Natalie O'Brien AM took the stage at the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Melbourne Tourism Leadership Program, sharing her journey from challenges to triumphs and everything in between. This program is all about shaping the next wave of tourism leaders, and Natalie offered valuable insights on career progression, finding inspiration, and bringing out the best in every team. It was an inspiring day, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it! Big thanks to VTIC for the opportunity and everyone who attended. #MCEC #VTIC #MTLP
