Thank you to King & Wood Mallesons for so generously and spectacularly hosting last night's Pinnacle Foundation annual partners' dinner in Sydney. The event is a highlight in the Pinnacle calendar, and we thank everyone who attended for their generous and sustained support. King & Wood Mallesons has been a gold partner of The Pinnacle Foundation since 2019, and the recipient of The King & Wood Mallesons Scholarship, Ed Ford, powerfully shared his story. We also celebrated the Make Awkward Awesome campaign and our alliance with The University of Sydney Business School to deliver the LGBTQIA Executive Fellowship (which will next run 21 - 25 July 2025). The dinner was an uplifting celebration to thank our corporate and philanthropic partners who make the Pinnacle program possible. Pinnacle Foundation scholarship recipients powerfully shared their stories and expressed their gratitude for our partners’ support of their education, wise counsel of a mentor, and welcome embrace of the Pinnacle family. Mood Tea (gold partner), Blundstone Australia (gold partner), Telegram Group - Telegram Co & Milligram and Hampers With Bite. The Pinnacle Foundation is Australia’s LGBTQIA education charity. We rely on the support of our partners, donors and volunteers to award educational scholarships, mentoring and opportunities to young LGBTQIA Australians, many who have faced family, faith and community rejection because of how they identify. 

On 11 August our Tasmanian Committee hosted a Winter in Italy quiz night, generously hosted at Hobart's Fellini Restaurant. The event was a sell-out, raising over $5,000 to educate and support young LGBTQIA Australians. Thank you to Tasmanian Pinnacle scholar, Sam, our partners, Hydro Tasmania and Blundstone Australia and our Tasmanian Cornerstone members, Dr Craig White, Rod Anderson and Grahame Williams for attending and showing their support. And importantly, thank you to our Tasmanian Committee, capably chaired by the irrepressible Kevin Brown, for their work to create such a special and successful event for the Pinnacle family in Tasmania. Together, we will realise our vision for a more diverse and inclusive society with visible LGBTQIA role models.
