Peter Bobolas, or Boba, as he's affectionately known in the office; our numbers man, this month celebrated his 10-year work anniversary with Scope Projects as Commercial Manager. From Day 1 Peter has maintained his calm and collected approach in the pressure cooker of budget delivery. He has been the cornerstone of our Estimating team and has set the platform for those around him to follow. Boba’s approachable and collaborative approach to his work and peers is testament to his success and typifies the essence of the Scope team. Boba’s invaluable experience within our industry has made him our “go to” man, always the first person to offer assistance or guide you in the right direction with his smooth composure. We are all proud of his success and multiple achievements over the past decade. He is an inspiring individual and we look forward to the next chapter and watching his ongoing legacy that emanates across the team and clients alike. “We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Hard Hat Day Breakfast raised an incredible $30,000 in support of homeless youth. The overwhelming generosity from our trade partners, Scope employees and our Managing Director, Peter Borovac, was truly inspiring”, quoted Christina Paterson. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement at Scope Project’s 3rd annual Hard Hat Day Brekky, held in the newly expanded entertaining space at our Crows Nest office in Sydney. The morning kicked off with a delightful catering spread, accompanied by cases of champagne and freshly brewed coffee. The Scope Projects team set the scene by decorating the space with vibrant balloons and Property Industry Foundation's branding, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as guests arrived. This breakfast wasn’t just about the food—it was about connection. It provided the perfect setting for everyone to catch up, tour the new office space, and celebrate the collective efforts that drive our shared mission forward. A significant moment during the event was the speech delivered by the Foundation CEO, Kate Mills, who shared insights into the Charity’s purpose and recent successes. Her words resonated deeply with everyone present, reminding us all of the impact our contributions make towards supporting at-risk youth and the vital building programs in progress. True to form, we over-catered, leaving us with an abundance of delicious food. Rather than let it go to waste, we seized the opportunity to donate the leftovers to the Early Bird Café, where they were warmly received by those in need. We heard that the sausage rolls were a particular hit! Hard Hat Day has become a cherished tradition for our team—a chance to step away from the hustle of daily work, unite for a cause close to our hearts, and create a meaningful event for our trade partners and suppliers. As a proud gold partner of the Property Industry Foundation, this breakfast serves as our primary fundraiser of the year, and it is a highlight on our calendar. We look forward to building on this year’s success and coming together once again for the next Hard Hat Day. Until then, we want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed, attended, and supported this special event. Today we acknowledge R U OK? Day, taking a moment to emphasise the importance of checking in on your colleagues, friends and family. In the hustle and bustle of our daily tasks, it's easy to overlook the struggles that our colleagues and friends may be facing. We encourage each of you to reach out to them and ask, "Are you okay? any day!" It's a simple question, but it can have a profound impact. A simple conversation can make a world of difference in someone's life, and sometimes a friendly chat can be the lifeline someone needs. #ruokday2024 #rurokanyday #scopeprojects #mentalhealth Peter Borovac, Christina Paterson
