This news sure took off quickly! Roy Hill recently hosted 3 Squadron from the Royal Australian Air Force in an exercise to upskill Ginbata Airport staff to assist in the event they are required. This exercise provided an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between two of Australia’s essential industries - mining and defence. Roy Hill and Hancock Prospecting’s businesses have a proud history of supporting Australia’s veterans and Australia's military, and our Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, has generously supported veterans and their families over many years. #RoyHill

Hancock Prospecting was pleased to celebrate the official opening of Sir Valston Hancock House on 25 September 2024. Sir Valston Hancock House is a first of its kind project in West Australia to provide much-needed accomodation for Australian veterans. It will be operated by RAAFA WA and RSL WA. With huge thanks to our Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart, for her unwavering support of Australian veterans and their families.

We are incredibly honoured to have been named as an ABA100 Winner for AI Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2024. It comes after we launched ‘RoyBot’ last year – a chatbot that harnesses Microsoft Azure’s GPT technology to improve and enhance employee productivity. A truly unique multi-modal AI platform within the mining industry, it has already proven to be a trusted asset and caught the eye of some of Microsoft’s largest global customers. #RoyHill #Mining #MiningWA #Innovation #RoyBot #AI

Roy Hill wins Australian Defence Force Reserves Employer Support Award Roy Hill and its Executive Chairman Mrs Gina Rinehart AO were acknowledged at the ADF Reserves and Employer Support Awards this week. Roy Hill won the private sector large company category for West Australia. The event, held at the RAAFA Club, Air Force Memorial Estate, was hosted by Major General Douglas Laidlaw, AM, CSC. Other dignitaries in attendance included Brigadier Amanda Williamson - Commanding Officer 13 Brigade and Commodore Ivan Ingham AM - West Australia’s senior Defence representative for all matters of strategic significance. Congratulations to Roy Hill, Mrs Rinehart, and all of our veterans employed across Roy Hill and the broader Hancock Prospecting companies. About Roy Hill’s veterans employment program: Mrs Rinehart, who was named Honorary Guardian of Veterans by Solider On in 2023, has long been a strong advocate for serving military personnel, veterans, and their families. Several years ago, Hancock Prospecting launched a new recruitment campaign to create new pathways for veterans to be employed within its mining, agricultural, and energy businesses. This program has been hugely successful, leading to higher levels of veterans employment across Hancock Prospecting companies, and especially at Roy Hill. Importantly, it has enabled Hancock, Roy, and Mrs Rinehart to acknowledge and recognise the service that our veterans have provided to our nation. We’ve successfully introduced state-of-the-art electric coaches to our mine, port, and rail operational sites. The new fleet of e-buses, along with our electric vehicles and minibuses, support our goal of deploying fit-for-purpose technology, which includes the world’s first battery electric heavy-haul locomotive. The 53-seat electric buses, equipped with the latest safety features, have been embraced by our employees who are enjoying the quiet, comfortable ride whether it’s to or from our airport, or during their daily commute to work. #RoyHill #ElectricVehicle

With the support of Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, and the Roy Hill Board, we are continuing to invest in the already high-quality facilities for our remote workforce. Roy Hill’s Ginbata aerodrome is the latest to get a fresh new look – and it is incredible! Thousands of people transit through the Ginbata terminal weekly, and they do it in industry-leading comfort. A new departure lounge large enough to fit a full charter flight of passengers plus a fabulous new café with barista coffee, cool drinks, and snacks is all there to enjoy (thanks to the awesome team at ISS). And for those arriving to site, undercover walkways greet you at the edge of the tarmac and a streamlined layout gets you to your destination even more smoothly. It’s all part of the wider upgrades Roy Hill is undertaking for the benefit of its people, with work also commencing on updates at the Mine Village which we look forward to sharing as they progress.
